I don't know how it works either but I have a really funny story about that sword... Someone had actually given me that sword but I could not figure out what it does or how. I started thinking that maybe I would have to do the quest myself to obtain the supposed magic that the sword comes with. So I do the quest and get the sword. The VERY FIRST time I use it, and IMMEDIATELY after killing the mob, I light up like a christmas tree and I've got buffs going on me like crazy!! Needless to say, I'm ALL excited and thinking, "Wow! What an awesome sword!!" Well, in my excitement I had failed to read my chat screen so when I finally looked at it I saw that there was a Shaman behind me just buffing the heck out of me! Talk about timing; I was LMAO! Anyway, thanks to Whitesnake the Shaman who was so nice to me and gave me a good laugh!! LOL

This comes from a quest givin by Gridash (or a name very similar) in Vasudheim. You have to be low level to get it, level 3 I believe. You have to buy a bronze short sword (or craft one? Never tried that. I wonder if it would affect the items final stats?) and give it to Gridash. He then tells you to kill a sveawolf and return the tooth to him. This is the item you get in return upon doing that.
