DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different

Reidie in the tavern of Tir na mBeo sent me to make a bottle to capture the wind ghoul, Little Wind, so that more may be learned from it regarding the lost treasures of the Tower.

The cork was formed of a water beetle eye. They can be found all along the lake; just go east to the lake shore, and follow it north to water beetles.

The bottle was formed of a spraggonoll leg bone. Spraggonolls can be found throughout Lough Derg. If you want a guaranteed spawn (rather than running around all day long), head west to the cliffs, then follow them south. After a few minutes, you'll find a house halfway up the cliff. This ruined shack is home to a host of spraggon-kin, including many spraggonolls.

Return the water beetle eye to Reidie, then the spraggonoll leg bone. She'll give you a bottle which will capture Little Wind, once you defeat the ghoul in combat.

Head all the way north to Ardee, then go northwest until you find the ruins where wind ghouls roam. Little Wind only appears during the day. Once you
defeat him, he will automatically be sucked into the magic bottle.

The easiest way to find Little Wind is to head to Ardee, there are too many red things that are agressive to head from the N entrance of Tir Na Nog.

Once you get to Ardee, head W/NW to the bridge that is just up the road from Ardee once you hang a left on the road. From the bridge head SW/W. There is a dead tree on the left, some big rock parallel to each other and another dead tree on the left just behind the huge rocks.

Little Wind spawns at the top of the hill (loc:34431, 31819, 5640 dir=260). Keep killing wind ghouls till he shows up.

Head back south to Tir na mBeo, and talk to Reidie again. She'll ask for the bottle. After handing it over, she will give you a wind bracelet; 4% Wind and +2 Intelligence. At 13th level, I got 2 silver pieces and some odd copper, and 2/10ths of a bubble worth of
experience.

Reward:
  Wind Formed Bracelet

The quickest way to find Little Wind is make sure you are there at the crack of light, I found him out all alone exactly 8:43am, just becareful to purps that are running around. You get to Muire Tomb Dungeon, it is directly north from there (30 seconds the most). Rock wall ruins is the place you are looking for.
Inside the circle
# Jul 12 2004 at 2:59 PM Rating: Decent
My lvl 10 ns whacked wind gouls all over the place from the bridge to the ruins and back and forth for 4 game days. Finally I saw the little enchanted one inside the ruins, killed it, saw it spawn again, killed it, and was just ready to kill a regular wind spawn inside the ruins when Little Wind (blue) and two buddies (green) popped inside the ruins.

I don't claim that is the only place he spawns, but I can't help but wonder if he spawned there when I was elsewhere so that I just didn't see him.

Time of Spawn

Note:

It does not have to be after Noon gametime for Little Wind to spawn. I just killed him at just before 10am game time.

Also, not sure if it's significant, but there was an "enchanted wind ghoul" kicking around that was very tiny. Killed him too. Not sure if he spawns WITH Little Wind, or before, or what. Just an FYI.

easiest way to find him is head west from the bridge near basar until you find some stone ruins type looking things with dead trees around. this is where the wind ghouls that you will find little wind hanging around spawn. the loc is approx-32,000 x 32,000. the amadon touched despawn at 8 am. little wind spawned shortly afterward (killed wind ghouls until he popped to kill the time) towards the west side of the stones. hope this helps =)

Timed properly, you can get the eye AND the beetle bits for the Gorm's Mind quest. Return to Howth to advance the Gorm's Mind quest, and hit the Sprag Shack for Banba's cloaks, the Chief's heads and the Bone all at once.

Don't hang around there after it gets dark. There is a touched something or other that spawns and he was red to me at level 9.

I'm a level 9 Champion and he was yellow to me and pretty easy to knock off. The reward is somewhat pointless unless you need to up your Intelligence.
Right place to catch -->

I have been searching the hill loacated next to the bridge all the time, but without LW spawning ->find him inside the ruined walls some hundred feet away from tha hill (about between that hill and the tomb of mythra), but it still takes a whola lotta time to make him spawn there........

could u PLEASE write down what the second dialouge option for reidie at the very beginning of the quest was ?

cause on the european servers (1.36, soon 1.45) everybody sticks with this quest, though in the beta everything went fine.. annoing

I'm playing the german version, and klicking on it doesn't work, so maybe they forgot to translate the key words..

its the second key word which is important, something like "i need to [hire someone]"
what exactly does stand within the []

thanks a lot..

Level capping would be nice...

thanks for all the good tips, I was ranting around for a couple or maybe three gamedays without finding the little *******! after reading these tips I'll try again for sure. And now I know I don't have to get before the others trying, just join them in a group instead. nice.

I strongly suggest you do this quest at level 10 because you have to kill a lot, and I mean 'A lot', of wind ghouls. This becomes terribly annoying at lvl 11 and higher because the bastards are either green or grey to you, not earning you any experience.

This quest is a bonus to lvl 10 characters, but to the higher lvl ones, it's a waste of time.

Got this as a Lv26 Blademaster. Managed to complete the first couple of tasks easily, but finding Little wind was a nightmare. I completely killed all the wind ghouls but didn't get the little wind spawn. I'll try tommorow for the 3rd day running lol.

Got it!. Well right after sunrise I started whacking wind ghouls. After shooting a whole quiver and half of arrows, about 11:30 am , Little wind showed up. I think the key is you need to whack a good amount to spawn him.

go west from TMB close to the west wall , then head south. watch for siabra near the wall at night.
Keep going south till you see the first spraggon. This was a bit beyond a circle of glowing mushrooms. When you get to the first spraggon go west up the hill and there should be spraggonols, spraggonites and just plain ole spraggons. the 'ols conned green and blue to my 12 druid.

I did this quest at level 14. I killed a water beetle by the shore right next to Mardagh. I killed a spraggonoll on the hill with the house near Tir Na mBeo. When it came to Little Wind, I kill about 50 or so wind ghouls before he spawned.
It was a bit easier than I thought.

I was just sitting here and noticed, that some have problems finding little wind. While waiting I started killing alot of the wind ghouls and then all of a sudden, little wind spawned, maybe if ya'll kill alot of the other ghouls he will spawn faster. Also he was blue to me at 10th lvl Druid.
Can a lvl 13 Enchanter get this?
# Dec 18 2001 at 1:54 PM Rating: Default
Can I get this quest as a lvl 13 Ench.?
---Also, what does a bonus of 4% wind do for you?
