Do this after you get the Cad Goddaeu quest.

Go to Innis Carthaig run into the woods just before the city, if you're coming from Connla. Look for the Old Hermit's hut (big tree with a green door and well lit, loc 49100,22375,4851). Don't talk to him yet since he wont speak to you without proof. Look around the woods around his house and you will find a Blademaster (low level mob, not very tough) and kill him. You will receive several items, one of which will be a Necklace of Energy. Now, go to the hermit and give him the plant. He will take a look at it and talk about the reawakening. You will now receive the Reawakening quest on top of your main quest Cad Goddaeu

At this point you should be on Step 4 of Cad Goddaeu and Step 1 of Reawakening.

Ignore the Cad Goddaeu quest for now and go back to Ardagh to speak with Chief Neasan. Right clicking on him will produce nothing helpful, but the quest will continue if you tell him about the reawakening.

Right click on Chief Neasan and say, "what about the old hermit's reawakening?" and follow the conversation he gives. He will send you back to Ardagh to talk to his son, the local harper.

Go to Ardagh, you may find Neasan's son, Harper Brac in front of the big strawhut surrounded by merchants. If you havent already, you can hear the story of Alain Binn but its not necessarry and not part of the epic. Tell him "Tale of Handreas" and follow the conversation for the story of King Handreas and the underlings.

Run into the woods again and talk to the Old Hermit. Tell him, "you must fulfill the vows" to finish the Reawakening quest. You will receive exp, no items. Now go back and continue the Cad Goddeau Quest (you should still be on step 4 and done with the reawakening).
