This is Part VI in a series of quests:
Part V is Hands of Fate

The Craft of Retribution

All throughout the quest, there is a lot of talk about how we need to stop
Morgana and that she might be making undead from other realms.

...and get ready to get saddle sore.

1) Talk with your (insert class) trainer. He will ask you to seek out
Lieutenant Kuebler in Castle Sauvage.

2) Go to Castle Sauvage and talk with Lieutenant Kuebler. He will ask you to see Captain Leri in Snowdonia Fortress.

3) Go to Snowdonia Fortress and speak with Captain Leri. She wants you to secure the Arawnite shaman knowledge on death through force.

4) From the fortress go out into the frontier and find an Arawnite shamaness near the fortress to the north. Kill her and she will provide you a tome.

The shamaness was yellow at level 40, but there are many shamanesses around some also con blue. Just killed the first one I found. Return the tome to Captain Leri.

5) After reading the tome Captain Leri discovers the Arawnites are interested in an undead minion that Morgana focuses her power through. In
order to find the undead you must retrieve an amulet from the Catacombs and return it to her. Read what she says... she does tell you exactly what to do in the next step.

6) Travel to the catacombs and proceed straight from the entrance until it enters a round room that has 4 named undead romans. Kill all four. They all conned blue. Each will drop an item: 1 amulet, 1 bracelet, 1 ring, and 1 belt. Once you have all 4 items, wear them and stand in the center of the room for a few seconds. You will see a brief message and in your inventory you will have the Amulet of Fasius Previlus. Once you have the amulet return to Snowdonia. (some stealthers have found to get Fasius Previlus to show you must be unstealthed)

7) Captain Leri will ask for proof. Hand her the amulet and she hands it
back. She then says to that you show the amulet to Cynwik the Wizard who is
also in the fortress.

8) Cynwik the Wizard will ask what you want. Hand him the amulet. He
babbles a bit but finally tells you that the amulet longs to be with it's
owner who roams the ruins of a roman temple near the northwest pass of
Hadrian's Wall (loc=10k , 42k). And he gives the Amulet back.

9) Travel from Snowdonia east to Pennine Mountains. Keep going NE towards Hadrian's Wall. The pass is at approx 40k,0 (This /loc will not be the same in New Frontiers). Once in HW follow the path, then make a left at the aqueduct ruins and follow path which will take you to the northwest. You will eventually come to some pillars (kind of in a circle or oval) this is where Fasius Previlus will be found (loc=loc=40994,29306 in Hadrians) Wait a few moments. There is some text about the amulet glowing because near it's
owner. Then the amulet will break (NOTE: the item name of the amulet does
not change to 'broken amulet' or such. Name stays just as it was named
before). Wait a bit longer, until a series of lightning flashes occur. Then
Fasius will appear standing on top of a rock. Kill him. And your quest log
will tell you to return to Snowdonia. (NOTE: he spawned as orange con to
level 40. Was soloed by a level 40 friar who got REAL lucky with a string
of 3 consecutive evades... take a friend.)

10) Captain Leri will ask for proof. Hand her the amulet. She will then
ask for your choice of rewards.

No, it's bad. You need to go to the Catacombs in Cornwall to do it and then go from Snowdonia Fortress to Hadrian's Wall. That's a pretty bad trip if you've not been out there before and know where the mobs are.

Well, at lvl 40+ you should be active in realm defence already, and for that you need to know the frontier ...
Its easy to find and if you follow the "roads" (stones) you wont meet that many mobs you have to avoid. Only problem is the Hib milewall just behind the orange-con mob at the end... there might be some Hibs looking for you ;)

Nice to see a 15th level saying that all 40+ should ALREADY be active in the realm defense.

Let me just say this politely. Most people out there taking keeps, and defending them are 45+. I went out at 38 with some people that I know who were 49, 50. I did just about nothing except for get some realm points.

Yes, I caused a bit of damage, and they MIGHT have gotten off one less swing from the small amount of damage that you do against a purple con....but I don't think I may have even done that much.

You don't do too much with realm defense before you hit 42 or 43+ for the most part.

At least the horse rides are just from FS to Snow, direct route from one to the other, 20th epic was insane on travel.
