DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Cristin can't collect the supplies she needs and asks you to help her out. Go out and get the following stuff (you need to get the quest first, since the items pop into your inventory): - A Hill Toad Wart, dropped by any hill toad - A Water Beetle Wing, dropped by any water beetle - A Spraggonite hide, dropped by any spraggonite. Cross the bridge back west from Basar. To the NW are hill toads, conned yellow to me. Then turn S and follow the river. Water Beetles conned yellow and orange, but were neutral. From there head SW to the spraggonites on the S side of the hill, NW of Ardee. Green and blue, but agressive, so be sure to pull one away from the group. Run back and get your $ (1s and some copper) and exp (total 2,560) from Cristin. Quest Dialog: submitted by: BruceR Visit Cristin, in Basar, Connacht. Cristin says, "Blessings upon you this day, noble (character class). I have the finest wares in all of Connacht, and I humbly thank thee for taking a minute of your most valuable time to view my wares. Although I am not talented enough to [make the armor] , I do sell fine things." Cristin says, "Oh, I do wish I had the talent, but alas, it is my cousin that makes the actual armor, as well as repairs items that have been damaged or worn. I assist him by collecting the [necessary items] he needs." Cristin says, "He uses things like hides, pelts, and other parts of animals in his repairs. I have recently received word he is in need of more supplies, but I have no one to take over my shop for me. I am [in need] of someone to retrieve items for me." Will you help Cristin gather the items her cousin needs to repair damaged armor? [Level 7] Cristin says, "I am so pleased you have agreed to help me. I will tell you the things I need, and if you are able to retrieve them all, I will pay you well. There are [three things] on the list my cousin sent me." Cristin says, "All three things can be found either around Connacht (sic) . The first object sound strange, but it is what he has requested. I need you to get some warts from the hill toads. They are easy enough to get, don't you think? Now, for item [number two] ." Cristin says, "My cousin has requested that I obtain for him a set of wings from a water beetle. I know I've seen them around here in Connacht. They shouldn't be too difficult to get. Now for the [third item] ." Cristin says, "I know what he uses this third item for. Spraggonite hides make wonderful patches in torn leather. Please get a hide from a spraggonite either here in Connacht or in Silvermine Mountains. Once you have all three items, return to me here." ( Kill a water beetle (on the riverbank along the road south of Basar), a hill toad and a spraggonite (both on the hill west of Ardee, near Muire's Tomb; at low levels watch out for hostile mobs, particularly rowdies, jumping you in mid-fight in this area). The first of each killed drops hill toad warts, water beetle wings, and a spraggonite hide respectively. Return to Kristin. ) Cristin says, "I am most pleased to see you have returned safe and sound. I hope you were able to collect the items my cousin needs. Please give me the hill toad warts first." ( Hand over the item. ) You are awarded 640 experience! Cristin says, "Ah, this group of warts is perfect. I believe my cousin uses them strengthen armor. (sic) He will be pleased. Now for the water beetle wings?" ( Hand over the item. ) You are awarded 640 experience! Cristin says, "Hmmm, these wings are a bit tattered, but I believe my cousin will be able to use them. Thank you. Now for the final item the spraggonite hide. Please give it to me." ( Hand over the item. ) Cristin says, "Well, I see you had no difficulty obtaining that either! My cousin will be overjoyed, and he will pay me well. I am not a selfish person, so please, take this. It is your share of what I will receive from him. I thank you most sincerely!" You are awarded 1,280 experience! You are awarded 3 silver! all lvls receive 640 experience for each hand in. lvl 7 received a final 1,280 experience. |

As someone mentioned, head south from Tir Na Nog, basically west from Mag Mell. There will be a large field behind the trees with many tombstones. Spraggonites and spraggons and spraggonolls spawn here like mad, especially at night.

Spraggonites con yellow for me at level 6. I would say that there's a nice patch of spawns behind a small forest near Tir Na Nog (which is up north for those of you who don't know). It's fairly easy to get to Tir Na Nog from Mag Mell by walking. It's the big castle you see when facing away from Mag Mell. If you face the Entrance to Tir Na Nog, then follow the huge mountain to your left about 500 paces or so (just as shleds said below) and you'll find that grouping of spawns. I have seen Orchard Nippers, Spraggonites, Rowdies, Spraggonolls, and a few wolves all spawn in this general area. Note that there are also quite a number of graves near here, so watch out for mob pops. Most of the critters near this area are levels 6 to 8 (if I've got my con colors right).
If you go a little further, you'll find the hill toads.
As for the Water Beetles, you'll need to follow the river a ways north to a bridge. At that point, you can find a ton of water beetle collectors with a few water beetles intermingled. This area has typically been fairly camped since the mobs spawn quickly, and they are almost always neutral (ie. no "bring a friend" coding).
I have yet to do the quest. I don't have a clue how much cp or exp you get.

i have seen no sprraonites. Never knew they exsited and i checked probaly 67% of Hibernia and i have not seen one spraggonite ever.

After searching high and low for a hill toad and a spraggonite, I was left a little miffed at the small coin that little Cristin gave me to go on an erand boy run for her. Not a recommended quest for the time it takes to find the MOBs. I could have made more then that amount of coin w/o the quest. But the exp was OK...

Leave Tir Na Nog by the main gate, the big one facing Mag Nell, then immediately turn right, follow the edge of the map for about 500 paces, look to your left, you will see some sort of camp, all sort of spraggon there, including Spraggonite... got my reward!
If you go to Howth, then head NORTH along the path to the Tower, take a left, down a valley behind the tower. You'll hit a log with a fairy ring at one end. Turn left again, there's a hill to the right of a small valley there. Go straight up the hill in that direction, lots of spraggon(x) (spraggonites, spraggonolls, spraggons)

I believe the sppragonites may only appear at night? I know I have seen them, I think this is correct.

Yeah but where? I spent 1 hour this morning looking for them and can't find them.. 99% of the population that I asked said they didn't know they existed.

I've gone all the way from Mag Mell to Howth and back and everywhere in between and I can't find a single spraggonite (but plenty of spraggons, just to taunt me). Does anyone know where these guys hang around and furthermore, what level they are?
