I cannot get Evan to give methe letter.
If I right click on him, he opens the sell window.
If I ask for a task, he gives me an unrelated task.
Any help would be appreciated

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Evan, in Ardee, asks you to deliver a love letter for him to his girlfriend in Mag Mell. Deliver it and you will get a reward and another letter to return to Evan. Returning that letter gets you another reward. A nice easy way to make a little money at low levels, and only takes about 10-15 minutes. Total reward 8s and some copper. Evan is a Firbolg armour merchant in Ardee. Evan says, "Greetings, there, (player name). You look like you could use some cash. I'll tell you what. If you help me, I can help [you]." Evan says, "Hehe, I can see it in your eyes that you're ready for some adventure! Excellent! Here's a note of grave importance that I must get you to take to Meara in [Mag Mell]." Evan says, "Ah, you must indeed be young. Here are my directions. Follow the road out of town, make sure to head south. In the distance you'll see some towers, that is Mag Mell. Meara is a guard there, she's wearing green armour. Good luck!" You receive a Letter to Meara. Hand the letter to Meara, a Firbolg guard in Mag Mell. Meara says, "Thank you so much for this letter. Oh, my beloved Evan, how I miss him. My parents have forbidden me from marrying him but I know he loves me so. Perhaps you can take a [letter] back to him for me?" Meara says, "Here it is. Thank you so much. Please take this for your trouble. I do so appreciate your helping me with this." You are awarded 320 experience! You are awarded 5 silver and some copper! You receive a Letter to Evan. Return the letter to Evan and hand it to him. Evan says, "Ah, my sweet Meara. Thank you (player name) for everything. I know her love for me is strong. One day, we will be united, no matter what her parents say. Please take this for your troubles." You are awarded 160 experience! You are awarded 3 silver and some copper! |

Feeling stupid here, but I cannot get Evan to

You could complete a lvl 1 quest at lvl 50, it don't matter.

Not sure about that, I am about 99% sure I got exp at level 12 for this quest. I was doing several quests at the time, running back and forth between cities just trying out the tasks.
I think I got about 10k exp points and 441 copper for this quest, and all the other tasks, as well.

I stumbled on this quest at Lvl 8 and completed it. I do not recall receiving anything from Meara (the green armored GF), but returning to Evan got me 2 silver and 5 coppers.

I did this quest at level 7, so the maximum level listed is wrong.
