DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different

Characters that were created after Patch Version 1.79 do not receive this Epic quest.

Your trainer will tell you to talk to Anrai, and she will tell you of a careless lucragen by the name of Wug has stolen a clay pot from the house of one of the merchants in Tir Na mBeo. Wug is difficult to find due to his size but tends to wander just behind the town near the circle of flat stone rocks (loc 18, 49) and on the hill to the left of there. He wanders anywhere from 17k to 20k and 53k to 59k. (Note: It has been suggested that by killing the Bristle and the 2 Lucridans in Wug's location may help in making Wug spawn.)

After the initial dialog he will start to walk away, and speaking with him again will result in the pot at which time he became hostile towards me. He will assist other lucradens in combat and you cannot run from him even while sprinting. Semi-dangerous if your reputation is low since there tends to be others nearby. Both he and the other wild lucradens in the area tend to range from 9th-11th level.

Return the clay pot for your reward.

*I spent some time looking for Wug, he was nowhere to be found, a named badger, Bristle however was up the whole time, i killed it to see if it was taking up Wugs spot and about 5 minutes after it died Wug showed up.

My quest for the jug was quite different, having found Wug in a bunch of trees SW of TNM he preceeded to tell me he had had his lucky rabbits foot eaten by a badger. Ithen killed one of the nearby badgers, a yellow for me at lev 11, which dropped the foot. I returned it to Wug and he happily gave me the pot, without me having to harm or kill him. Before this I had tried killing Wug but he failedto drop the pot upon death. And yes you must kill Bristle the badger if he is there instead, or Wug will not appear. Bristle appeared orange to me.

I'm concerned about this too, since I received the quest at like level 10 or 11 and then I got into some really nice groups and jammed up to 15th without ever even seeing hide nor hair of Wug. Any higher level people been able to complete this quest? I'd really hate to lose that item.

    Btw, I'm a 15th level Druid.

If you wait long enough at the ring of flat stones behind Mbeo, he'll show up. Also look on the hill just to the left of the stones. Walking around seems to make him show up faster.

As far as I'm aware, that's not a problem. True, greys don't drop items, but usually when you kill as part of a quest, you automatically receive the item - it goes straight into your backpack/inventory and is not dropped. I think you should still receive the item upon killing, even if the mob is grey to you.

I talked to Wug last night. He was already hostile towards me but I right clicked him. He just stopped and it said he waved at me rudely. I kept right clicking him, he said nothing to me about a foot. Who do I need to talk to first to get this quest started? My ranger trainer doesn't say anything about.

I believe Wug is part of the class specific quests. This quest is given to you by your trainer at a certain level. I believe this one is the level 7 class specific quest. At least this is the one my Blademaster did at level 7. If you did not get this quest from you trainer you cannot do it.

I have already done the lvl 7 ranger quest, I got my natures shroud from doing so. Maybe I need to talk to both ranger trainers *shrugs* I will try and talk to the one in Ardagh also. Thanks for the infos.

Wug is out almost all the time... Just go to mBeo and head out west inot the woods. There is a dead tree where Ghostly Siabras come every night. Before you hit that tree from mBeo there is a little hill there right before you get on that hill head left about 20 yards or so and wug should be around there most the times unless someone just got done killing em, but he does not take long to come back again.

Level 11 druid here. I talk to the trainer in Howth (leveled t 11 close by and trained with her) she said to see Davray(sp) in tir na nog about a pot. I go there, he will train me but won't give me a quest, is there some one else I should talk to?

I've been looking for Wug for days now. I've been carrying a foot with and just can't find him anywhere. If you go straight west from Tir na mBeo, you'll come on a large fallen tree in the middle of a field. Where is he usually found in relation to that tree. ANY help here would be greatly appreciated. I just completed the quest. The most difficult part for me was locating Wug. I looked for him for a couple odf days off and on. He is west of town, but not really in the woods. As you approach the town from the south, along the road you will see the stone marker with the name on it. If you vere off to the left at that point you will see a hill. I found him at the top of the hill. After talking to him a bit, I just followed him to figure out his path. He wanders very close to the road, back to the hill and over by the flat stones. I found him in daylight.

I got the foot right away. Second badger I killed and it was very near to the place where I saw WUg. I found Wug again in minutes gave him the foot and returned the pot to Anrai.

Got a nice little item that goes in my jewelry slot with 3 empathy and 1 power.

Well, I finished this quest last night and my course was different than anyone else.
After giving the foot to Wug he told me he had sold teh pot to a merchant in town, who happens to be the enchanter, and that maybe I could convince him to give it back. I talk to the enchanter, who siad he loved the pot and would never give it up, but would I deliver a powder to Valon(spelling) in Caille for him.
I rode all the way to Caille drop off the powder and received a gem that gos in my jewelry slot that give +3 QUI and +6 HP. I am a Blademaster.

Okay, then it's official that it varies randomly instead of by class -- because this is the variant I did as a Mentalist to get the +3 INT +1 Mind Skill Charm.
    RE: A slight twist.
    # Dec 11 2001 at 2:40 AM Rating: Default
Is it possible its time based? Because I also had to go all the way over to Caille. The reason I ask about time is because I had a very hard time finding wugs foot. I think i killed arround 10 badgers before I gave up and logged. Then I came back then next day and the first badger I killed had the foot. I went to wug and he said I had taken too much time. I also completed this same task as a blademaster and got the gloves of sure grip. The gloves were the shorter version of the quest but I also finished it much faster. The 2nd or 3rd badger had the foot and I gave it right to wug. The name of this quest is wug's jug btw not wug's clay pot.
    A couple of confirmation
    # Oct 31 2001 at 2:20 AM Rating: Default
#1> There are definitely at least 3 versions of this quest. It may or may not be different by class.

#2> Mentalists get a Charm (goes in Jewelry slot) for +3 INT and +1 Mind skill. The +1 Mind skill doesn't allow you to gain specialization spells though.

#3> When I finally got to Caille, the NPC (Viola) took the powder and gave me a charm. Therefore I can't personally confirm that further steps are involved.

#4> The *easiest* way to get to Caille is to take a horse ride to the fortress near it (Druim Cain). You can buy the ticket there from the farmhouse in East Lough Derg (and you can buy a ticket *there* from Ardee).

    Here is what you do:

    1. Receive quest from trainer.
    2. Go to mBeo and bind at well. (Yes you can Bind at the Well) In case you die.
    3. Talk to Wug and he tells you about foot.
    4. Kill Badgers (Badgers are agro and like to come in 2's so be careful)
    5. When you receive the foot talk to WUG and give him foot and he gives you pot.
    6. Give pot to vendor (Arnelia or something...could be wrong..check quest journal)in same town.
    7. Receive reward.

I lucked out...I got foot on second badger and it was already half dead from someone else that must have run or been killed. (Saw no bodies or I would have rez'd them.) WUG isn't hard to find...look for Brizzle and WUG is nearby. Usually hangs out near trees with hill on backside of town.

    Finding Wug
    # Oct 27 2001 at 7:02 AM Rating: Default
Seems like Wug might be a day-only spawn (he's Bristle at night?), and the badger with his foot a night-only spawn?
    RE: Getting the lucky foot
    # Oct 27 2001 at 4:30 AM Rating: Default
I had to kill no fewer than 8 non-named badgers before the foot appeared in my inventory -- and this is beside killing Bristle no fewer than a dozen times.

Can anyone add any info regarding the "difficult" version, the one that sends you all over the place? I'm on that one, and I still can't seem to find the city of Caille.
    RE: Getting the lucky foot
    # Oct 29 2001 at 7:17 PM Rating: Default
Caille is the city of the "veil people",if you take the horse from ardee to the farm at east lough derg, and then the horse their to druim caine, the tickets are switched at the time of me writing this, the one to ardagh goes to druim caine, youll come across only one town on your way, that town is caille

Okay, I was given the quest, and after a little bit of wandering I found Wug, he said to find his lucky foot - So my first try was to kill a regular badger no lucky foot, next i found Bristle and tried him, no foot. after killing Bristle 5 times, and every other badger in the area still no foot. I know that it automatically pops into your backpack, but it was no where in any of my bags
is there a particular badger or place to kill the badger? or do i not kill badgers and talk to this Bristle creature? really confused here

Bristle is the placeholder for Wug. You can right click him and he will ask you did you find his foot. If you try to give him the lucky foot he will say he doesn't want it though.
    RE: placeholder
    # Nov 13 2001 at 11:19 AM Rating: Default
No he's not. Bristle is the Badger you have to kill to get the foot. Although any badger drops the foot. Bristle spawns super fast and I killed him while Wug was two steps away. The placeholder for Wug is a Wild Lucradan.

    # Jan 13 2002 at 11:43 AM Rating: Default
You do NOT have to kill Bristle at all! Just kill normal badgers, and it WILL eventually appear in your inventory. It took me 3 badger kills before it happened, but it DID happen, and I didnt have kill Bristle once.

    # Oct 25 2001 at 6:45 PM Rating: Default
I was sent to talk to Wug. I did so, he asked for his lucky foot, I killed the badger, got the foot, handed it to Wug and the little pissant told me he SOLD it! Then I ended up having to journey from city to city trying to find all these poeple... wild goose chase. I STILL dont have the reward for this one. I give up, I'm NOT traveling all over the land to talk with poeple so I MIGHT get a nice item that would have been good at level 12. I'm lvl 14 druid now. All in all, sounds as if this quest can vary GREATLY from person to person. I now kill Wug everytime I see him cuz I hate the little bugger so much.
    RE: Wug
    # Nov 13 2001 at 11:23 AM Rating: Default
The quest requires you to go to ONE town and ONE town only after Wug tells you that he sold it. It's the town south of the Frontier Town. If you look on your map (the one that came with the game) check the area where you are supposed to go to then locate the Frontier Town. Forgot names so you will have to check. It's not hard.

I just did this quest today .. I am an elf Mentalist. I got the quest from my trainer,at lvl 11. She sent me directly to talk to Wug. I spoke to him he asked for the lucky foot from a badger nearby in exchange for the Pot. I ran back near Mag Mell and killed 2 badgers, got the foot off of the second one. I ran back to Wug talked to him again... he asked for the foot, I gave it to him, he gave me the pot. I took the pot to Anrai and she awarded me a cap. ( cant remember the name of it..) But stats are 12af 4 intel and 1 to Metalism skill, and it cons Yellow to me at 11. Very nice cap if ya ask me:) Simple easy quest
