Sheeroe Hills

This is an epic zone meant to be traversed only by large groups of high level players.

Per the 1.101 Release Notes 02.24.10:
Certain zones are now flagged as Epic Zones. These zones now relocate anyone logged out for more than 30 minutes to a safe spot typically located at the start of the zone, except for the main Realm Dragon zones. The locations for these Epic Zones place you safely outside the Faction towns, near the bindstones.
Per this note, Sheeroe Hills is now considered an Epic Zone.

Dangerous Corners
# Nov 05 2002 at 5:55 PM Rating: Decent
If you're making your way to the Azure Cleanser Camp (nice gem drops off the named in there) at 30k,20k beware rounding the corner at around 25k, 39k. Or more accurately, once you get to the clearing before the trees, start running and hugging the left hill until you get near the glowing gems on the far side of the trees (around 29k,37k). If you stop anywhere in those trees you will get more aggro than you can handle, even in a group of 8 lv43s.

If you're thinking about entering the Azure valley from the far end (past the cul de sac, entrance at 46k,24k) think again. The glimmer aggro on that last corner (45k,29k) is unbelievable, and repeatedly wiped out my group anytime we tried it between levels 40-43.

Kelegur was level 55 when we killed him. He spawns around 23kx25k and yes, that mace is very sweet :)

The path to the dragon is a great way for a good PBAE group to exp from 48 to 50.

The Cuuldurach The Glimmer King Has Fallen Once Again! He Has Fallen On The Percival Server. It Took The Second Attempt To Kill Him The First Attemp Started Great. Got Him To About 1/8~1/4 Life Before We Has Spawns That Wiped Out The Rezzers. The Second Attemp Didn't Start That Well And Lost About 50 People I believe I First Heard About 250 hibbies there. What We Did was no procs period no casting spells no pets(all classes) no healing. you only could rezz from outside the circle. enchanter arm buff was allowed but buff outside teh circle (please have more than one thats doing it....LoL i was the only one that was doing. lol have a buffing station and it was bad enough facing that many hibbies about to kill the man who suggest to have the people jump that need the buff) becareful of the spawns. and have people rest out of the ae area is' surprising large. i did live through it twice some how though. I believe healing outside the cirle that was fine. the only probably we had was the the first attemp was the bad respawn we had. the second was people doing something such as casting or healing in there i know there i saw a pet. even send the casters to attack it. if anything with that many people attacking it increases the chance to hit it. the arm buff will do must of the damage. (I like to say i killed him cause of that) the second his ae effect just kept killing so many people. i don't understand how it works cause it killed some one 2 steps to the right of me i move to 2 left and i get killed by it. =o) hopefully he'll die again this weekend. I'm mana specced now. so i not gonna end being the one buffing about 200+ hibbies. i'll figure out someday how many i really did. i have serenty 1 mcl 1 and i had crack 5 on me and before the charge i ended up growing through everything. and after that just kept buffing the rezzed as they charge back in. oh no songs were allowed either at least inside the circle i think end was okayed i know we had power song outside of it. if you truely think about it enchantment specced enchanters are the most powerful casters out there soloing on the fact if you buff every one there and that person hits even if it's for 1 lmao or 0 i know you can do that you'll do addtion damage i know with the 10dps arm buff i would do about 50~60 and the 7dps 30~45ish to what ever i hit. I had the 7dps arm buff. Well Good Luck To All My Brothers And Sister Hibbies On Your Dragon Hunt. I hope you can figure some usefully info from my ramblings. Sept 15 02 about 2:00 am est was the death of him =o)
Dragon on Avalon fell
# Sep 10 2002 at 5:48 AM Rating: Default
Avalon was the first European Server that managed to kill the Hibernian Dragon (Hib Hib Hibernia)

Our strategy was based on all the experience that has already been made:

No Spells, AEs, DoTs etc (Elds, Ench, Mentas use their staff as malee weapeon)
No Healing ! Just Rezzing
No Pets
No Buffs/Debuffs
No Bard songs , no Warden bubble
No Weapons with DD / Proccs (craftet weapons are best)
No Armor with Bonus from NPCs (Drop Bonus is OK)
No Critical Shot

Following this directives the dragon will not cast his terrible AEs and a Warden (as myself) will make app 5-10 dmg... a Hero around 20

Saruna - Warden on Avalon (German)

PS: We were around 300 Hibbies and the Dragon fell rather fast ... should be possible with a lot less

In one of the current Grab Bags it is said that all that stuff you all think you can't do at dragon in fact will not cause him to do his attacks...the attacks just happen anyways. I'v been on 4 raids on Mordred, 2 on the alb Dragon and 2 on the Hib one. Beat the Hib one once. But the one time we won we were not following the rules you state we had healing and such...the next times we went when the leader told us none of that stuff we died each time.

I trust the Grab Bag being true, so i think it's safe to say you can do all that at dragon.
Glimmer Kelugur

Saw a named mobs, Glimmer Kelugur, purple to me at 40, hit for about 350 so i guess its level is around 55-60.

Dropped a cool looking 16.2dps Hammer with neat magical ability (+4LW +6 Parry +10 strenght something like that)

We killed him with a lvl 37-40 group, 7 people.
Cuuldurach The Glimmer King

Big and cool looking. Bors sever held a raid on him in July 2002 (I'm sure there have been others, this is the only one I'm aware of tho). We had 80-100 45+ ppl there and to put it mildly it went poorly. There are a massive amount of Glimmer knights, etc. that will aggro when you get to the mouth of the dragon's den. Took about half of our force constantly defending to keep them off us (the other half was medding). Cuuldurach aggro'd prematurely, not sure if by glimmer pull or someone aggro'd it.
I can't speak for Cuuldurachs' Melee abilities, I never saw it hit anyone. However, it's AE is just plain wrong. Best I can tell it does around 8000dmg to tanks that are in the middle of it, and the lowest amount of damage from the edge I got hit for around 540dmg. There was a nice and neat circle of dead bodies (reminded me of those "alien" landings in cornfields). Anyway, 2 AE's later our forces were gone and it was release time.
On a side note, After the 2 AE's there were a couple ppl left (no more than 10 ppl) and the glimmers were beating on them pretty bad. However I did see a tank run up to Cuuldurach and attack him. I don't know how Cuuldurach decides whether he should AE or not, but it appeared as if he wouldn't AE while in melee... I'd be curious to know if this is true or if the dragon just didn't have enough time to actually use his AE.
Anyway, I hope this enlightens any going on a Dragon raid that didn't know what they were up against. later
