Crystal Cave

This may well be the hardest dungeon to get into in the game...Caer Sidi is up there with it. But Caer's problem is being so far away, while CC is just plain tough. Hordes of 60+ mobs to just get to the entrance, then even more inside...then entrance is inside Avalon City, through a downwards passage near the center of the town. You'll know you're close when the guards are the Xar race...

Per the 1.101 Release Notes 02.24.10:
Certain zones are now flagged as Epic Zones. These zones now relocate anyone logged out for more than 30 minutes to a safe spot typically located at the start of the zone, except for the main Realm Dragon zones. The locations for these Epic Zones place you safely outside the Faction towns, near the bindstones.
Per this note, Avalon City (and the Crystal Cave) is now considered an Epic Zone.

These Guards at entrance to the dragon is a REAL pain, they are fast popping so ppl needs to go down fast, at raid yesterday some ppl pullede some of they top guards, and we could begin all over. These guards spam a AOE Debuff and somekind of AOE Low dmg DOT/Bleed.

And they take a great deal of time to take down, so remember to assist.

We were wiped out by the guards, but our clerics logged and rezzed us, so we could go on to the dragon.

Its a 2 headed silverlike dragon, it will cast a PBAOE almost instant, but depends how good you are at running, coz you need to run if it begins casting the PBAOE (hits for 2000 dmg) the dragon itself should be easyier than the dartmoor (what ive heard) the pain is the guards at entrance, so be carefull and good luck.

CC is pointless, I have been with a Zerg that killed Xanxicar. We had 130+ people and we fought Xanxicar for 3+hours nonstop. My 50 cleric died and was rezzed 27 times. He finally dies and dropped 1 item a RoG piece of salvage bait and 3 gold. Shortly as in maybe 40 seconds after he died. Before we finished rezzing and getting ready to leave his lair and kill the elites to get out. A lightning storm goes off in his lair and kills everyone in it, all 130+.

It took us 5 groups just make it to the entrace of crystal caverns. Once you zone over into the zone be prepared to fight. You will encouter Elite guards about 4 of them. If you thought the Sentries guarding the stair case and the entracne to the cave were tough, once you make it down the elites are harder.

my firt exp in cyrstal caverns was at level 48 and i was only hitting for 1-3 damage max. I am now level 50 and i am wondering how much harder i would hit. I am looking forward in going back but I know next time i plan to have more groups with me cause the elites whiped out the zerg really quick.

So basically you have to have a strong force to just get past the stairs and the cave entrance. you have to survie that and zone over be ready to fight again.

Caer Sidi was alot easier to break into and clear then it has been to break into and even do any damage so far in cyrstal caverns.
