Per patch 1.87:
- Characters can now skill up completely in any tradeskill. The system of primary and secondary tradeskills (where secondary tradeskills were capped according to the current skill amount the primary tradeskill) has been removed.
- Tradeskills no longer have class restrictions. A character can choose any tradeskill.
- Characters can now have multiple tradeskills. To pick up a tradeskill a character does not have, speak to the tradeskill trainer. Please note that there is no limit to the amount of tradeskills a character can have. Your character can now choose and skill up in all of them.

I am at 851 in alchemy skill now and looking for where I can find my next two metals, Netherium and Arcanium. Also, the ingredients for making the trophy potions. I have ridden and teleported all over the place, looking for merchants who might sell these items. Of course, I also need to get out and make a few platinum to continue my progress.

I make most money from procs, without a doubt, but I sell more potions, especially power pots...
The reason I think most don't bother with potions is that they haven't used them, or found a use for them. I started off by sitting in DL giving power and heal pots away 5 at a time to some of the mid-level 40 guys, and now I get fed up with them /sending me :)
Some think they aren't worth the money, to be fair, but I got myself a good customer base by doing this to start with...

Does anyone have advice on how to make money off my potions? Or do I just have to wait until I can make procs and effects on items...
I usually fill up my consignment merchant with buff potions and power potions, and they sell within 2 days, especially buff potions, concidering not all have a buff bot!
So my advice to u would be; get a house! that makes it alot easyer!
If you want to make poisons alchemy is better.
If you want to put stats on an item Spell Crafting is better.
If you want to put procs on weapons alchemy is better.
If you want to put skills on gear Spell Crafting is better.
If you want to put reflexive properties on armor alchemy is better.
if you want to put resists on gear Spell Crafting is better.
If you want to put charges effects on items alchemy is better.
It isnt a question of what is better. It is a question of what do you want to be able to do.
