Would you please update this information please. Also could you make some reference as to the categories these spells are under, i.e. Way of the Sun is given by choosing "Light Skills", or whatever.

Thank You

I just reached lvl 23 and I didn't get a stun spell. I realized that two of the stuns were switched, however, shouldn't I have received a stun spell.

You have to spec light to get a stun. It isn't automatic.

That's not true at all. The level "bonus" refers to a power savings on spells cast that are the listed level or below.

this poor idiot has misinformed you like most the posts on this site...the 14 lvls you see is focus it isnt + anything, its simply focus which means if you cast a spell in the given path that is the lvl of focus of that path or lower, then you only use 80%mana cost to cast it...thats it, thats all focus does...so if you cast a lvl 14 spell from light or mana path or lower, then it only will cost 80% of its normal mana cost to cast it.

The level bonus only affects your resists, not the level you have in the skill, so you won't see it but it should be helping your minimum damage and your resists quitea bit.

TRy it in a group hunting purples with and whithout and see if it works out.

Void increases Way of the Eclipse and Void Mastery. Mana increases Way of the Moon and Vacuumancy. Light increases Way of the Sun and Shadow Control.

I bet you already know this by now though =p
Couple of questions =)
# Nov 17 2001 at 2:38 PM Rating: Default
Just a real quick question on the prismatic stun line. I have used this solo, and it works fine as such that the the mob I cast it on stops dead in it's tracks allowing me to run away a bit to get more range to cast another nuke. Im wondering how effective it is in groups though. If I were to stun a mob while melee characters were attacking it, would they break my stun with their next hit or would the mob actually stay stunned for the duration of the spell?

On a side note, do spells break the mez line or is it just melee that breaks it? Do arrows break mez?

Finally, and completely off topic does anyone know if this game supports variables? For instance if I wanted to make a macro to assist the team tank to make sure I get the right target could I do something like /macro /assist %t and have it substitute %t for whoever my target is (the group tank in this instance)? I have tried doing this with %t, and %T but neither worked, just wondering if anyone has figured out if it's in the game yet or if anyone heard that Mythic may be implementing it or not and why or when =P

Arrows break mez, there are no variables for macros that I know of yet.

Stun works in groups and no hit will "break" it. However, any further stun will replace the old effect and be halved in duration since it was the second cast of a stun effect (not exactly sure about replacing the effect but it works that way with mez for sure).

Here's the problem: many melee styles have a stun effect. So, you use your 5 sec stun, then they style and hit for their whopping 1 sec stun. Your stun gets replaced by theirs (which is actually only .5 secs now since the creature had already been stunned).

To actually use it effectively, you have to make sure they're not using anything with a stun component.

Any hit on the monster seems to knock off the stun, however it works excellent in groups to stall the adds while the first monsters are taking care of.

As an Eldritch can anybody tell me what Mana magic, Light Magic, and Void Magic increase, as far as spell categories go. i.e. Way of the sun, moon, eclipse, Vacuumancy, Shadow Control, and Void Mastery. Thanx

I find this line of spells to be just as effective as void..for starters they casts 2x faster and there is no waiting period of 20 seconds to cast again..and light is much more effective in groups since void can be blocked by melee fighting..
RE: LoL
# Jun 07 2002 at 11:36 AM Rating: Default
You cannot even compare damage though. I can void bolt on my 23 Eld as mush as sun DD on my 35 chanter.
And the idea of Void is to use Void in combination with Eclipse or Sun, which have no reset. Void are meant to be like arrows. You get one good shot. Sutn, Void, DD, stun, Void, DD. Etc.
The idea of sun, with chanter is to use it in combination with Empowering or Bedazzling.. and of course with pet...
how little you seem to know

haha i find it funny with people with lvl 10's going on about the uselessness of spells

The mage stun line is so incredibly useful its not funny.

Note in point : it's not a mez, its not a root, it is a stun, if they are hit, they are still stunned until the duration of the spell ends, and it seems to have a really low resist rate in RvR even for reds and purples.

it seems to be going up 2 seconds per level, 2,4,6 so im guessing the highest one will be 10 seconds, if u dont realise how a lvl 50 eldritch could simply stun someone, quickcast and cast others, getting 4 dd's off in 11 seconds giving his opponent a massive chance of 1 second to not die from 4 dd's (ask trolls how often they can take 4 eldritch dd's when the eldritch is yellow...)
Undead bonus

I am level 10, using the level 9 moon streak, and hitting blue Blackthornes for 70 a pop. 2 shots at most and they are dead, or just a staff-flick from death. Very cool.

Wow - ok, guess what you are not? Smart? Well, thats right. Only reason why I am flaming is because you are speaking with so much audacity, even when you are wrong. I think thats dumb.

Anyway, have you ever heard of snare/root nuke? If not, then you are just letting the monster run right up on you while you are trying to cast, instead of rooting, walking away, and casting without getting pounded on. NUFF SAID.

I have to fully agree here..

Stun is a lifesaver.

If you gets aggro in a group, just stun it and move to other side of group...

The rest of the mobs are dead way before stun is over.

On a side note, undead drudgers in CM are resistant to cold, so you don't get bonusses to all undead.

L26 paralyze lasts 6 seconds, L23 paralyze lasts 8 seconds? What's going on here?
RE: what da?

The one listed as level 23 is actually level 36 with a POWER cost of 23. It is a typo in their database.

L23 paralyze has a power cost of 23
L26 paralyze has a power cost of 16
