Treibh Caillte

Type:Dungeon
Realm:Hibernia
Min Level:25
Max Level:45
Description:
A small tribe of creatures locally known as ursine dwellers inhabits Treibh Caillte. The clan lives inside their naturally formed cavern. The reclusive clan is hostile to outsiders. No one knows where they came from, only that they recently arrived and inhabited a cavern in Lough Gur they claimed as their own. None of the ursine dwellers have been seen outside Treibh Caillte, and since most locals stay away, not much is known about them.

Treibh Callite is *SAFE* to get to, bind at Connla, then Cross the river, and head south to zone wall. Follow zone wall past irewood saplings till you see a large path form in the forrest. Turn about 45 degrees and head into the forest on the other side. You should run into the dungeon, if not - you will come close. They recently removed all aggressive mobs from around the dungeon and south-east of it as well.

NOTE: If you go too far south along the zone wall, you will hit high level aggressive mobs, but this method is MUCH better than going from Innis!

New: My way may be a little longer time speaking but it is the safest way to do wether you go from Innis or Connla. Just take a horse to Culraid (the tree in the forest)and then walk to the south you should run into it. The location is approx 9k, 25k

* To access the teleporters you must kill the golems standing on them!

LOL ! it is amazing to see how people invent suhch complicated ways to go to treibh : fallow the river, count 4 trees then turn 47.5 % to the left walk 6 feet and blablabla...=)

to be honest, my way may be a little longer time speaking ut it is the saviest way to do wether you go from innis or connla.

just take a horse to culraid (the tree in the forest)and then walk to the south you should run into it.

the location is 9000,20000 aproximatly.

because when you come from connla, first it is VEEEEEEEEERY long and then you cross lvl 35-36 giant lizards.

thats it, hope it helped =)

Hi guys nothing real special but I wanted to make a statement regarding the Lair Worms found here in Treibh.. Oh, and btw, I'm also the guy that talked about buying crafted / imbued (spellcrafted) armors a few posts down.. uhm.. I was wrong, as many of you know.. lol.. that was months ago and I was mislead to believe spellcrafting was put in finally, at the time, it was not. But it doesn't change AF value.. anyway, that's not the point..

I just wanted to post here about the Lair Worms as I started to say already. At level 32, with 31 critical strike & 6+2 piercing, 13+2 envenom, 313AF with 89% quality full set of Darkness Falls Emerald list Leather Armor and

97 Strength
95 Constitution
155 Dexterity
120 Quickness
656 Hitpoints
345 Weaponskill
936 Weapon Damage

I am solo'ing orange con Lair Worms. I don't know if these monsters are somehow broken, or what, but I thought any Nightshade thinking about coming to Treibh might very well be interested in hearing about this. The worms that con orange to me at level 32 yield about 4 million experience. Some are also yellow, and if you get a partner (or group of 3) the Rock Golems should be red & possibly worth decent experience as well.

Also, the level range for this dungeon does go higher than 35. Perhaps the good exp doesn't go much higher than 35 for groups out to level, but the actual ursines and stuff are yellow in the low 40s. Don't come here as a level 40 thinking you can wade through half a dozen Ursine Patrols looking for a new bracer, because they'll end up mauling you.

Anyways, I hope that tidbit about 'shades and the worms helps somebody. cya.

I've tried going west from innis and everytime i've tried it i end up getting killed by waylayers or something else. The easiest way I've found, as well as quickest, is to take a horse from either innis or connla to culraid. Then, from culraid head directly south until you reach the hill without grass. Once on top of the hill head slightly West and there you should find Treibh Callite. Great place to gain xp in a grp from 22+, as long as you can find a good group. Anyway, thats my 2 cents.
the /loc for Treib Caillte / or Ursine Caverns

OK, for those who have asked, the location of this is in Lough GUR (-not- in Lough Derg) and is at about 9200, 26000.

Dangerous area for anyone < 30 to get to, scout slowly and carefully with a group the first time.

The path along the "zone wall" is easiest to use to get to Treib more safely the first time . . .

Good luck!

This is that same guy, and I solo'd to 42 as ranger, 32 as nightshade, and 32 as enchanter. My 28 warden is coming along pretty well too.

68 gold is nothing - I had 300g at lvl 11 because I did armorcrafing consignments and had reached lvl 650 in that craft.
RE: hm
# Jan 16 2002 at 5:32 PM Rating: Default
Yeah.. few missing parts, /sigh.. bad habbits formed while conversating in game.. carries over..

Anyways, tailored items will have higher quality, as good if not better AF, and you can now buy imbued and get stat increases as well.

Figure at level 23 all my armor was blue/yellow. At 25 it turned blue/green. At 26, then 27, a lot more green.. Yet since 22 I've killed the same mobs, dampwood mites. What I kill at 22 with what is then yellow con armor, I can certainly kill at 27 with the same armor that now cons green 'cuz now i have more hps, hit harder, and hit more often.

At about level 25 dampwood mites will rarely be yellow, 9/10ths or so will be blue. They will be about 189-209k experience for blues, but even blues will drop between about 7.5 - 26.5 silver, per kill, NO items to carry. Hence, every kill buys you 20 arrows at the minimum. Sometimes 1 kill pays for 60 arrows.

This is no great feat, but, all the same.. I wouldn't have known this a month ago, and I'm sure a lot of other newbies wouldn't either..

I now have nearly 80 gold, still solo'ing the mites just fine, and can kill young irewoods just fine also.

The biggest difference between playing like this.. jumping from one 'camp' to the next, based on your present and future needs.. is easy. I type in my account password, automatically logon to my server, and take aim for a crit shot.. and pick it up right where i left off. No waiting. No looking for a healer. No having 7 people's lives hang in the balance as to whether or not the party healer/tank/crowd control person is a moron, awake, or whatever.. Just simply there is the mob, now it's dead, let's kill the next one.

It'll take longer to level solo then it would to always kill orange/red in a *good* group, but.. who's got the time to find a *good* group? Furthmore, when an item drops, it's mine. Period. There is no autosplit awesome 2handed sword goes to the eldtritch. And even a greater point to my mind..though it sometimes proves to be almost as much of a burden as a blessing.. unless I go to spraggons den or some similar area, I never have competition. I go and find something, and I sit there and level. No trains. No /send to me about sharing, or hoarding, or nothing.. no BS. The downside.. whether I like grouping with people or not (most of the time, with most people, I absolutely despise it), it does get lonely after a few hours of no interaction whatsoever. But..then I get over it. Lol

Which, on the point of grouping..and dungeons.. and to get a little more back on track with this here discussion on TC..

Could some of you put forth your grouping preferences? Specifically what I'm looking for is what is the black & white, easy to do, normally works, blah blah blah style group? I can only assume get like 5 tanks, 2 healers, and 1 nuker and yer golden, but.. I imagine some of you out there may have an idea to share. What I'm trying to avoid are groups which are dependant more on specific members of the group than on the group as a whole -- I do not want to run into a room with 8 monsters and have the group expect to live. Having a single person for crowd control, unless it's me (or you), is NOT preferred. Lots of people are airheads.. a group where 1 of the 2 healers goes linkdead, and nobody is concerned.. that's what I'm talking about..

Not.. oh, i had to go afk to get the phone..or..sorry I went link dead... why'd everyone die? ---way too dependant on that 1 person

sorry but I think u should never group with anyone any time. You simply do not have the mind nor patience to socialize. I feel sorry for you. You must have very few friends. I hope those few that u do have are very good friends. You are one of the many problems with this game. If you do not want to interact with people, why did you buy this game in the first place? It's people like you that disgust me. I will not group with people like you because you have no personality or imagination. I hope you have a job that is very far from dealing with anyone. Have a great life and do not reproduce for all our sakes.

actually its people like YOU that make the game bad, you place judgement on someone whom you know nothing about. He was merely stating what he found made the game fun for HIM, i dont see how this affects you in any way, shape, or form. Personally i hope that YOU never reproduce, because i dont feel the "*** hole" gene needs to be passed to any more people. GOD FORBID SOMEONE DO WHAT MAKES THEM HAPPY IN A GAME THAT THEY ARE PAYING FOR!!!!

I am in the euro beta.

Unhappily, the lameass company Mythic has contracted with (French-based GOA) wont patch us past v1.36 (even on the english and german servers) because they want to make sure all the translation for the french is done first!

I was in here at level 30 with 2 other level 30s, and nothing dropped but common items. Is there some sort of level cap? ie, will special items not drop until you are a certain level?

The two things i have noticed i really hate about this game is the SLOW travel speed and all the damn artificial caps on your skills and abilities (such as overall AF, weapon damage, exp per kill, etc), and if there is indeed such an item cap, then all i can say is that i will not be paying for this game.

Thank you for any info you have to give.

As an administrator, maybe you'll listen to me.

At high levels, it's becomes increasingly easy for groups to take higher level mobs. Buffs, chants, and pulsings help incredibly. By 30+ tanks have a high enough weapon skill to be able to whack a monster 10 levels above them.

As in Barrows in Albion, as is here. Also noting that you may kill high level purples all day, but the XP still sucks :)

I've been in this zone for two levels, 27 and 28. I'm usualy in iwth full groups ranging from 28-32. we usually always handle the top leels ez and ocne we go down past bridge on teh way to spiders we stop there and pull in the small hallway with a single rock before u get around to spiders., 1 bard is great and 1-2 tanks. at elvel 27 and 28 I can tank easy on high reds and purples. Just make sure to have a 15%bonus weapon. I've gotten 3 drops in one night there, a giant swath cutter (greatest sword I've seen) and a heavy great sword which is neg to quick but + to str its 10.8dps not bad. also gotten a darkened shield thats a large shield and its purple to me at 28.

It may not be this tomb... but here are the directions to the only tomb I know in Gur.

Get a horse to Innis. Go due west across the lake, you will cross the little island and keep heading due west. You will cross the path at a 90 degree angle .. keep going and watch out for the pookha. There is a very steep cliff in the woods... climb that and you will see a bond on top of the plateua with a 50 ft tall lady standing in the middle. If you wander near the pond you will see the cave.

If you look at the map that came with the came there will be a light blue dot about 3/4 inch to the left of the lake. That is where you are going.

GO NE from the parth farm thru the siabra encampment that has Macnoll. Is hard to miss, this dungeon can be lethal...DO NOT unless you are a TIGHT HIGH LEVEL party agro the curmudgeon silvermine sentries as they will ALWAYS draw lots of company. The Ursines have caster types but the guards are red to me at 32. The exp is excellent and now that it has been itemized the loot was nice as well.

Its in Lough GUR. Across the lake from Innis Carthaig. Don't use the raod. Take a horse from Howth or Connla. Then just run around the shore of the lake. This dungeon has several nice camp spots, but none of them are what you can call "safe" spots, except the entrance. Random pops and adds will happen, no matter how down you think you have the spawns. You can get some single pulls, but most are 2-4, so some good CC is a must if you wanna live long.

Tons of good stuff drops in here. In fact if my info is right, Corruscating Mines only drops cash as of now, so the best drops in the Hibernia proper are here until its itemized. Thralls and Ursines seem to be the ones that drop the good stuff. I have never YET seen the spiders or golems drop any rare stuff. But since there are less of them to kill, it could be a numbers thing.

Tons of drops, just not itemized as of January 16th, 2002? On this site anyway.

Silken Threaded Chitin isn't too bad if you wear reinforced. Thrall & Ursine armor isn't bad if you wear scale..

But, neither are much better...IF they even are better...than tailored imbued armor.. lol..wait til coruscating mines my friend. Oh, and spraggons den is a joke.. but.. hey.. if you all go there, I won't have to put up with you on the surface so... go!

directions are really hard to say, since its in the middle of lough derg.

I found it by accident but im "pretty" sure that its by the patharge farm in lough derg( the one that always has full spawns so alwyas has the MEGA pathrages that form when theres full spawns at parth camps) which by the way is just all the pathrages on that side of the field disapear and a GIANT one (a LOT bigger then the farm itself) forms up in their places, that was a pretty deep con to me.

Anyways back to the point, the path farm in lough derg is at 800 600 from there you go north/north east (its not quite either) and youll see the cave type thing all dungeons have. Be carefull though, its lough dergh the forest of evil small mobs that agro you, and that are every 2 steps.

Great dungeon, usually heavily camped on Merlin. Awesome item sets here (Thrull's Ruined and Ursine Crafted Scale, 66af and 74af respectively, both with stat bonuses), and singles such as Ceremonial Robes, stealth bracers and a great cloak. Anything less than a full 32+ balanced group results in wipeout down there though, as spawns are quick and wanderers are common.
