Muire Tomb

Type:Dungeon
Realm:Hibernia
Min Level:10
Max Level:28
Description:
Concaire Muire and his family were rich landowners prone to greed and haughtiness. Bitter and ranckled from years of cruel treatment, Muire serfs cast an evil eye upon the family. A dementia slowly started to afflict Concaire Muire until one night, he murdered his entire household and then killed himself. The family's tomb has since been a place of unrest.

As of Dark Age of Camelot Version 1.50, Muire Tomb has been expanded, and there are mobs here that are blue to a level 26, with the dungeon going even lower in past that point.

Found the recruit
# Jul 25 2005 at 5:08 PM Rating: Decent
I entered the tomb, ran down. opps, purps.
Turned to go out, and he stod in the corner where the exit is, "trapped" with a spider infront of him.

Click on the recruit, he begs you to help him. Slay the spider (blue to me at lvl 6)
then talk to the recruit again.

Rattled Recruit
# Jul 07 2005 at 6:54 AM Rating: Decent
Ok. I just started this game the other day. I am seeing that this tomb is for higher levels. However, I just got a quest called Rattled Recruit for lvls 5-9. I have to get a recruit out of there. However, trying to go in, everything cons purple. Has anyone else seen this quest and how can I complete? I am a lvl 6 Elf Eldritch.

Quest in Murie tomb
# Sep 29 2002 at 11:20 AM Rating: Default
Ok this is kinda weird...NO ONE but me it seems has received this quest. 1st, the only way I received this quest was by transporting out of tomb (not from usual entry/exit either) and was greeted by a person that is no longer there. This person, where i was ported to was on the s/w side of the hill where the tomb is at. He gave me a journal and the journal gave me specific kill task (4 i think.) So far I've done 2 but the 3rd has stumped me. I'm an Elderitch and the journal says I need to kill the 3rd person w/ a sword that is droped from previous kill. Problem is, I can't use a sword, only staff. Anyone else have this quest?? I hope so. I need help.
A new magic drop?
# Sep 05 2002 at 8:40 AM Rating: Good
Okay - I took a lvl 26 bard into Muire's Tomb to give a tour to a lower level guildie and decided to go and check out the area behind Connaire. After going down the spiral stairway I was greeted by several Muire Champions (I wasn't surprised by this), in one of the drops that followed I got a large weapon sword, magical of course, but it wasn't the Richly Designed Sword on this pages lists (and no - right now I can't remember it's name). I was wondering if anyone else has gotten this sword that has +1 to LW from any of the Muire Champions, considering it cons blue to my lvl 26 bard I think this is a bit rarer of an item and I'm hoping I'm not the first to have seen this wonderful weapon.
RE: A new magic drop?
# Sep 05 2002 at 2:50 PM Rating: Good
Okay - I now can post the weapon's name - since when I made the initial post it was while DAoC was down - the weapon is called Grizzly Great Sword and has two bonuses - one is +1 to Large Weapons (skill) and I forgot the other in the three minutes it took to get here - I already got the weapon from my lvl 26 bard to my lvl 13 LW Champion - and it cons red to the champion. Keep in mind that this weapon hits a lot harder than the other two LW drops that are known for Muire's Tomb but it is also slower than the other two (I have all 3 LW drops now), but if you ask me - speed is irreverant when you can do that much damage :)

Keep looking for it - it's from either a Muire Hero or a Muire Champion and it's worth it if you have a good ability to use LWs.

yeah send in a pic at least, that way we don't have to rely on you to "remember" what the stats are. I would like to have that sword myself, but I want to know what the other stat is!

any updated maps?
# Jun 12 2002 at 12:58 PM Rating: Default
The only maps I can find for this place cover 1st and 2nd levels adequately, but don't show all the stairwells leading down to the 3rd level properly at all. I haven't fully explored this yet, so I kinda want to see what I can't get to yet!
RE: any updated maps?
# Jun 25 2002 at 6:29 PM Rating: Good
from my brief exploration into the tomb, i can suggest if you want a map to guide you to the lower levels i would suggest that you look at the map for the Catacombs in Cornwall/Albion since they appear to be extactly designed the same... as for the monsters down on level 3 and below i have not made it that far, but when i do i will make a post with my findings.. i hope this helps alittle

Arggh!!! Just when you thought it was safe!
I think the munsters have moved to the Tombs! many new higher level nasties on the lower level which I can't even get to solo as a 19th level Druid. Where I used to cruise I now run for my life. Ya gotta love 'dem guy for this upgrade... a great place to earn lots of exp. and buff up on some really nice drops too!

Yeah, I know the feeling, the sound effects and all the undead give the place a very "tombish" feel. I'm on vacation in Flordia right now, so I'll have to spend some time in there lookin for drops when I get home. It's real hard to solo in there though, lowbie groups constantly pulling the crypt spiders and mummy hags.
what lvl do you have to be to solo
# Feb 07 2002 at 11:52 PM Rating: Default
so what lvl do you have to be, to solo low stuff in the dungeon
RE: what lvl do you have to be to solo
# Feb 09 2002 at 2:03 PM Rating: Decent
mid to high teens is a good lvl to hit stuff from the stairs, but since room in the tombs is so tight you have to always keep an eye on aggros. Maniacs training the scorps or ladies-in-waiting are always a problem too. Better to solo in your high teens, I think.
RE: what lvl do you have to be to solo
# Feb 16 2002 at 3:47 PM Rating: Decent
You can pop crypt spiders solo at 11th or 12th level in the entrance (con yellow and blue), but keep an eye out for the Hellhag and her entourage, a wandering mob that periodically goes through the place and slaughters anything that breathes. You're probably better off with at least a two-person tank/healer team, but big groups need good discipline to survive in these tight quarters - it's easy to overpull, especially since lines of sight are extremely short range.

If your in the late 10's or early 20's thats a good lvl to solo in the bottom part of the tomb. The only wat you will die is if you pull all of those mosters.

This place is great exp with a full group. You can go in there at low teen levels. It's great exp if you hunt in the right spot, and you get lots of cash and armor.

Old nobles are some great stuff, I got a full suit of Old nobles. exept gloves are just Nobles gloves (AF 30, stats to Dex I think) and the old nobles and nobles is a kewl light blue. I really didnt like this dungeon other then the kick **** loot.

One thing I got is a Bloodstone studded Falcata, its a red sword you can put in left hand. +1 to blades.

I never spent a lot of time here, as I was around level 20 when I heard about it, but I do know that one of the best Emp caster belts in Hibernia comes from this relatively low level dungeon. The only other two belts I know of come from Spraggon Den, and neither give empathy =/

I found this dungeon to be very fun and exciting. Our first impression really set the tone...there were a dozen graves on the first staircase heading down... We were betwen lev 9-14 and it was very difficult and we had to remain alert, although it was well worth it for the Loot.
Its the first time a game has given me REAL chills since Resident Evil 2. The sounds are good here, and the respawning critters mean you cant run out... The whole claustrophobic atmosphere was a rewarding dungeon crawl if ever there was one.
With some devotion and effort this place could be a guilds' piggy bank, the drops are worthy. Not the best place for leveling but a great expedition for a night's adventuring.

#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 17 2001 at 9:33 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hellooo E.Q! The farmer's have arrived! Crud, Now the ones who are not in or wish not to be "guilded" lose out again to the "Associated Bullies". Thanks for pointing out another place to farm. I love waiting around for weeks till one Guild is done getting its piggy filled.Just in time for the next to show up and kick the "unaffiliated" out. And to think some of us left E.Q. & A.C. for this.

Eh ? Are you absolultely lost ? They farm so they can build up there guild's on hand cash and get magic items for themselves or the lowbies in their guild. If you guildmate can't enter it help him out ! The drops aren't for just guilds it's everybody.

Please explain more ? =\

#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 25 2001 at 4:11 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) nobody is going to throw you out of the dungeon. You may have a hard time gettin a group though if you don't lose that big chip.. (yeah, the one on your shoulder) get a grip eh? join a group (or solo if you like dying) and split loot like everyone else does. Besides, 90% of all the loot is only good for a person for like 5 levels, so why farm anything? you sound like the guy that joins a dungeon group, then whines every single time he loses the roll. wah this wah that. (hint: EVERYBODY hates that guy, don't be him)
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 04 2002 at 9:58 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) LOL! Hmmmm I never said a thing about groups. I have no problems finding one. Thank You!! You make an assumption that I am a loner that wants all the toys and never share. Wrong! But thats ok sweetie you don't know me. I stand by what I say about guilds. I have one question for you though. If the drops are for only guild members who could use them, why the term Piggy-Bank?
