Nice few there :) Just one thing tho, remember that SMB3 video was done as a piece of art not to prove gaming skills and was done using save states on an emulator, http://bisqwit.iki.fi/jutut/nesvideos/whyhow.html has a more detailed explanation of this idea as well as a bunch of NES videos!

I've seen people say it was scripted and used through an emulator, that's the only hypothesis I've come across

I can't wait to get home and watch some of these.
I wish I had made videos myself.
I was on the boat to Selbina and personally witnessed a 75MNK/37RDM OWN the Sea Horror. It was impressive because the Sea Horror and he both hit their 100fists at the same time.
I also watched a high level THF (at least I think she was a THF. She was anon) own Bloodtear over the weekend. (I did get some pics of that at least.)
Oh well.

Theres an article about the SMB3 video in particular on yahoo somewhere but I disremember the URL, its meant to look real but it wasnt done in one sitting, itd take years to be anything like good enough to play like that and even then youd need a ridiculous amount of luck making it basically impossible to be real.

Anyone make any of their own videos here? I've messed around with Fraps but is there anything better? I know I can find plenty of different programs, I'm just looking for personal experience knowledge.

I don't know, I used Fraps to make mine. I had to take it easy though because while recording it dropped my framerate from 30FPS to around 15-17FPS (on a P4 3.2Ghz w/ GeForce FX 5900 Ultra and 2SATA HD's in RAID 0). I'd try to show skillchains, but I think my timing would be totally off, lol. As for editing programs I think Adobe Premiere is quite a bit better than the crappy Windows Movie Maker I used to put the THF video together, but I didn't feel like shelling out a ton of money for a program I'd barely use (maybe if it was a job or something).

Ahh the THF himself, thanks for the response, FRAPS it is. Quality is good enough for me. Your video has made many a THF's drool with anticipation for Dancing and Triple.
