Quick story and question here to see if this has happened to anyone else. A few months back, my credit card expired on my account, so I had to update my payment method. I found no way to update my credit card at the time, so I had to sign up for click and buy. So, I try to set up a credit card through C&B, no real luck here. I end up using my bank account, they send me 2 $1.xx charges and you need to respond with the amounts to complete the set up. They finally process through my bank, I enter them, the charges show as verified and posted on my C&B account. All is good right?
Last weekend I go to log onto FFXI and it says my account is suspended. I'm thinking ok, whats this about? I finally just email the support center for SE and they respond saying I need to call them to talk about the problem. Sweet, sounds like fun.
I call them, they tell me that there were 2 "charge backs" on my account, so now my account (I have been playing since the NA launch almost, about 9 years) is PERMANENTLY BANNED! I talk to a supervisor, he is no help. I was never alerted by SE, C&B or my bank that there was any issue. SE say they allow one charge back, but two and they ban you (have never ever not paid them btw). He said I can submit a un-ban form or something, but without support, it would most likely fail.
Did I really just lose 9 years of character life over $30? I am a life long FF player and have paid timely always. Anyone have any idea? Anyone I can contact? HELP Please! Oh, and the irony is now there is a credit card option, which I have already updated to my credit card. Thanks.
