#1 Jan 23 2004 at 12:28 PM Rating: Decent
I heard that there are many ways to spec which way is the best?

Go crit strike as your main spec, then stealth, then the rest in envenom. If you ask me the 2 handed weapons suck so always carry a 2h sword or axe on your back with you.

As a BG 1 Infiltrator i can say that the hardest woopin i get is from low stealth, high damage trained SB's, usually with a 2 hander.

I have lvl 10 SB, and i trained crit strike to my level, and axe to my level, and rest into stealth. This has worked great for me since I did a little testing and the two handed axe did more damage over the same time than two one handed axes did... thats what I have to offer you, Good luck.

hey all,

i have a level 40 sb but i'm in iraq so i dont have access to his exact stat's at this time... but... i can tell you this. if you spec in 4 skills you get more to play with. if you spec in 3 skills you will end up with a higher stealth. you can do it either way, i dont really think it matters. 4? 3? what the hell is he talking about?... lol i mean this... axe, left axe, stealth, and poison...4. now to make 3 you have a couple choices... you can leave out poison for a higher dmg per hit, or you can leave out left axe for the poison effects (that can be deadly too). or ya can leave out stealth for what they call a zerger, which is a "high dmg, low AC" tank of sorts. all these variations work well pve and rvr... as well as others, i'm sure. we did months of testing, and if ya wanna be hardcore rvr maybe a 3 spec is easier, but they're all alot of fun. and if ya dont like one, ya can respec and try another. good stuff any way ya slice it.

Woot another Sb post to respond to. Ok I have created every single type of SB you coudl think of. And the best I think I enjoyed rvring with was my Stealth, critical strike and venom char. I have a large batle axe strapped to my back with poison on it. In case i dont land and get resisted with both of my Cleavers (axe weapon) poison. Ok.

For bg 1 I trained until level 19. I used my spellcrafting (pohl) to get my stealth to 20. I used level 15 venom and the rest in Critical strike. Backstab at this point is your best friend.

For bg2 I waited again until level 24 to go hunting. There I trained My critical strike to level 21 for PA. No other usefull abilities for this period. Hamstring and pa are good at this point. I Had again stealth to level 25 maxing out with spellcrafting i think at that time was +5 to all skills but you have to double check that. So if it is +5 i went 20 stealth then adding +5 stealth bring it to 25. Ofcource venom is evil.

For bg 3 which i have to admit i made a mistake i waited until level 29. There same things maxed out stealth got poison to level 25 and critical strike the rest. The problem here is that the max rps are high. I had to go outside of BG and jump off the big stairs alot so i would not level up before maxing out rps. At themoment i had to wipe all my xp twice so far so i would level but only 100 more kills to go....

Most of the time. I see all the stealthers before they see me. I dont remember which realm skills i got but it has to do with stealth. i think it was mastery of stealth. Now for pvm its a pain to level up alone. Sorry to say but you cant have th best of both worlds.

Anyways there is my ..... chapter on critical strike. Any questions msg pohl@darknet.org with any questions about Spellcrafting or my SB.

Remember that the best spec for your char is the spec that fits YOUR playing style. This is my playing style and i love it.
