AutotrainingFollow

Could someone please explain how autotraining works? In other words - how do I autotrain a toon?

Thanks in advance.

Certain classes have skills that have minimum abilities.

For instance, a Paladin will Autotrain in Slash and Chants only. If you level up,a nd don't put any skill points into those skills, then they will always level up to 1/4 of your level (so at level 40, you would be 10 in each, even if you didn't do anything ot them).

It is a stupid thing they executed trying to make your toon not worthless, but all it does is make toons that get Powerleveled slightly more powerful then toons that level regularly.

One other thing, if in the above example (never played a pally so just going with the flow here) you put points into Chants, you wouldn't auto train any skill. It's all or nothing. For example, I am autotraining my new Armsman in slash and thrust, so I have to spec in crush if I want to get my free points.

**EDIT** Of course with the new patch due out on 1/10/07 This will all be moot as you will automatically get the "extra points" if you have specced higher than the minimum. Camelot Herald for the full explanation.
