Resources, What does it all mean?Follow

#1 Dec 31 2003 at 11:10 PM Rating: Decent
Hello-

I am very confused as to what all of these attributes in the resources mean and what they are good for. I have tried experimenting quite alot but it still isn't clicking =/ I am looking for some advice from the more experienced crafters please. What are these attributes good for... conductivity, heat, shock, & cold resistence, malleability, ect. I realize it probably depends on what I am making. Well, at the moment I am working on 3 things vehicles, droids, and houses. Any help would be greatly appreciated, please. I am tired of running around the galaxy to survey materials and conduct more experimenting, and not knowing what the heck I am looking for. Also, if anyone knows of a good web-site to help explain these things to me, that would be just wonderful =) Thank you everyone for your time.

you are a master artisan and you dont know what they do. im thinking u are master since u said u make vehicles. i think you should switch proffesions while you are still ahead since the right resourse become EXTREMELY important in the elite crafting trees

Well, perhaps I would know if someone would share some IMPORTANT information on this forum rather than stupid comments and posts! I have been trying to get information on this site for 3 weeks, about as long as I have been playing. So if your just gonna add to the spam, dont reply.

Who cares about why he's a MA?

Here's what the deal is:

If you open up a schematic say for a generic crafting tool, in the bottom right hand window scroll down to where it lists experimental percentages. For the crafting tool it should be something like "experimental effectiveness, Conductivity 100%"

That means that you'll get a better product by using metal with a higher conductivity. Use metals with 990+ conductivity to get some nice results. Other schematics will list more than one resource "stat" so you'll need to pick the materials you have with the highest numbers in the respective stats. There's a bit more to it than just that, but knowing this much, you should be able to see the effects of it and learn on your own what the rest means.

3 posts with the same answer... How unique!

Must have some form of really short term memory. (j/k)

(Just so funny seeing the same thing thrice!)

Peace
