I am a rebel and i was wondering if its possible to change to imperial, and if i can how do i do so?

YOU need to get 200 imperial points, get yor rebles in the negative, talke to a reble recruiter and resign then go to an imp trainer and join.

From Imp to reble
Take a CDEFF pistol a shoot your self in the head and save the imperials some trouble

Good for you, uniballer! It pleases the Empire that you see the error of your ways. We welcome all true patriots who wish to take a stand against the rebel terrorists.
/salute

(and the above post is correct regarding switching factions)

You don't need negative rebel faction just 200 imperial faction. Although you will probably get negative rebel faction doing imperial missions.
But anyone can take missions from any faction terminal, it doesn't matter what faction you are.
So to get your imperial faction points it is just the same as rebel only for the imps.

I had -5000 Imperial faction (the lowest you can get) when I defected, it's doable just takes a bit longer. So start grinding!

The easiest way is(I think dont quote me on this) if you are rebel pilot unlearn skill tree. After that go to imperial flight trainer and join up. I havent tried this but Ive seen this in abother post somewhere. I know you dont need any faction points to join either. I jus dont know if you can join with negative faction.

The only restriction on what pilot squadron you can join is that you can't be a Rebel on the ground and an Imperial in space, or vice versa. I don't know if faction points matter.

It was several months ago, last year actually, when I swithced from Rebel Colonel to Imperial. I think I got up to Seargent before I quit that and started back to Rebel again. It took a few weeks to grind out that much faction, especially as it was pre JTL so no space faction farming. But I didn't have anything better to do.
