So I see random threads here and there but I was wondering what everyone has been playing recently.
For me:
Warframe Beta: Ninja space aliens in space doing ninja-y stuff. Its a 3rd person Shooter/hack&slash where you're an alien ninja doing missions. Kinda of grindy but there's a lot of missions to do your stuff levels up if you use it. You have a Long range weapon, Pistol, and Melee weapon and a "Warframe" suit that has up to 4 differing abilities. Its fun so far, also I think JJ Abrams is on board because Lenflare/Blooms abound.

Tera:Rising - Told wife to try it and she told me to play to, She likes it made me go buy a retail copy for founder status now that its FTP. I'm not liking it to much, seems really easy I lvled a Warrior to 15 haven't died and came close maybe once. Just seems easy if you have played something like DMC/God of war and know how to dodge. Also the amount of Loli is creepy.

Ni No Kuni: Kinda got bored, I like Jrpgs but hate the ton of summons thing because I always wonder if I doin' it right (like leveling the right types or feeding them the right stats stuff like that) So far its a good game just ugh.

Planetside 2: Shoot things (from very far away when I can) get Xp. Big fights, but has a few crushing issues for me atm. The draw distance changes depending on how many people are near you and I play a sniper with a Longshot (NC) with a 12x zoom. I constantly watch people vanish while in my sights and it just ruins it for me. Also my character is a smoker like me and cant hold his breath to steady his weapon sway for more than like 3 seconds.

Othergames when I'm in the mood. I havent found anything that seems to demand all my time or sucks me in, more like Hmm what do I feel like tonight. I downloaded Path of Exile (Final Diablo Fantasy 7x10) to try out but haven't got around to loading into the game atm.

If you play any of those games my handle is (Warframe) Zackavious, (Planetside2) Zackav NC-Connery Server, (TERA)Xain - The PVE server starting with an A. Otherwise PSN: Zackavious, Steam: Beanx (Invader Zim avatar).

In othernews anyone use Raptr? I had Joph check it out, it seems interesting Its a social network/Xfire like program that tracks your games across all platforms/PC gametime played, and puts it on your Profile page. Like this.

One of the main reasons I found it interesting is it can track your PSN, Xbox360, Steam,WoW accounts and put it all in one place. Break down the games you play at the most, track achievements, etc. The desktop app has all the Im built into it (Like Trillian) so you can have all your contacts in one place (MSN,Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, PSN, Xbox F-list, Steam, FB Chat) and chat with them. (PSN redirects you to the Playstation website that allows you msg people on PSN).

It has an Ingame overlay, like Steam, where it will take you directly to the "community" for that game where people are talking about it posting pictures etc (not fullscreen just a small box) has a Built in Web browser, seems like a lite android type web browser so you could check stuff without exiting the game. Supposedly they are adding Video capture functions sooner or later.

Its a neat little package, mainly I use it to cut down on the need for multiple IM programs, and Game tracking.

Also they have "rewards" sometimes developers with give out gifts you can get by playing there game til a certain threshhold is met. They were giving mounts in Rift if you played for a bit before time on the deal expired, they were also giving away free copies of the game, and free upgrades to the new expansion back when it was semi relevant (2 or so months ago) Like this one here.

Idk something to consider or something, its interesting, neat program . Some people might like it. God I feel like a shill for hyping it this much but figured some people may haven't of heard of it. Also the Desktop app is optional, as any sort of Facebook/Twitter integration.

I've been playing Phantasy Star Online 2 and DMC. Just last week I've been trying to muscle through No more heroes 2 but got pissed and stopped playing it to start up DMC. Trying to knock a boss off the cliff with your bike that steers like **** then fighting said boss who has BS attacks just wore my patience down way to much. I was in the mood to play infamous so I knocked a few missions out on my evil playthrough last night.

I've been hard core playing WoW. I got into a raiding guild shortly after hitting the new cap (90) and it has kept me entertained.
I use raptr because I wanted to see what it was about..so it runs in the back. It logs my WoW play time. ID: Sandinmygum

*Hardcore to me. I use to play only a few nights and maybe on the weekends. Now I basically log in every night for 3-5 hours during the week each day, and way more on the weekeds :x

I've been playing this as well (bought a $10 copy when they were still available) and it's okay for a MMORPG fix but nothing to sing the praises of. I raised three characters to levels 12-14 (technically four, I did my mystic twice after deciding I didn't like the face I picked). I'm sure it gets harder later but it seems pretty easy now and I'm not in love with the JRPG aesthetics what with the Lolis and chubby pandas and the bouncing flower people and rabbit-eared hunting cats and stuff. Oh and the near inability to make a respectable looking male character aside from a few racial choices.

I'll stick with a while longer and try to at least get up into the 20's where I understand some of the grouping-required dungeons start and stuff but I don't see it being any multiyear time sink for me.

Been mostly playing Tera, got it for a $10 sale and got in on the Founders program. I'm enjoying it, but its not something that will keep me playing for years either. Also my Raptr Profile

World of Warcraft - this is probably my second-favorite expansion (after WotLK), and has kept me interested and amused to the point that I've put off playing many other games.

Skyrim - Dawnguard/Dragonborn DLC: Bought both of them over the weekend, and realized my current character is extremely underpowered. So I boosted my Smithing to 80 over the weekend and outfitted myself in Ebony. Sweet, now that's better! I've only started the DLC stuff for Dawnguard so far, but I have been attached by randomly generated cultists and vampires. Gives me something neat to look out for.

Mass Effect - Trying, and failing to play through an Insanity run in ME1. I'm stuck on Liara's dig, as the Krogan one-shots my Shepard with a rushing charge attack, even with full shields and health. Ouch. Need to figure out a better strategy for him.

I have several other games I want to play, but I simply lack the time: Kingdom of Amalur, Witcher 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Terraria, and several console games.

A couple games for me:

Witcher 2: I'm finding it very mixed thus far. The whole notion of using potions before combat seems flawed - It's hard to prepare properly when I don't know when or how combat will be occurring, and I find the system tedious to begin with. Too many important abilities seem to be locked away down the talent trees, so I feel kind of neutered, and the spells and abilities don't seem to bind or activate properly for me. I set combat to Easy and have decided that I'll button mash my way through the game for as long as it'll serve; I just don't care about the combat.

They killed the most interesting character in the game in the first couple of scenes (Foltest), and seemingly the second most interesting character a few scenes later (Aryan La Vallette) and I'm having trouble warming up to Geralt and his quiet form of rogueishness.

All that said, it's a beautiful game, it takes its lore seriously, and there's a veritable ton of voicework. I like the world and the characters I meet, I just wish everything else was as enjoyable.

Skulls of the Shogun: I'm reviewing this one for NGN, so I'll save most of my thoughts for that. It's a fun, and deceivingly difficult strategy game. Great sense of humor. A few minor problems with the interface and pacing of battles, but that's all.

Other than that, I'm mixing in some Dark Souls (which I still haven't beat) and Killzone 3.

I let my WoW sub fall off right around the time I started using Raptr but it has me at Elite, There is an option in there to add your WoW character, it will scan your achievements and bump your status up based on those. Like it does for PSN/Xbox games since it cant track played time. You may want to consider that.

Also to Shaowstrike:
Also I approve of your avatar. That game while having terrible controls, and cheap gameplay, was hilarious.

I'm 75% through single player, then I guess I will attempt Co-Op. Do you know if they give you an AI partner if you don't have anyone else with the game?

MWO, Fallout 2 (was steam sale from over a year ago.), and I also picked up both expansion packs for Skyrim this weekend. Was in the mood for some swords and sorcery after a lot of stompy robots and assault rifles.

I have the opposite problem from Locke though. My Thief/Sin guy is so strong that nothing in Dawngaurd so far has been remotely challenging. It does not help that I am smith 100 and the instant I saw you could make dragonbone bows, arrows, and daggers I dropped everything to do that. Then Legendary double enchanted them for good measure.

I'm pretty much just one shotting my way through everything. But the story seems pretty nifty so far and I like my new virtual vampire GF.

Oh and you Tera guys the game gets much harder after level 30-35 ish. It's almost ungentle after the early face rolling.

Madden 13 - I realize most people on here don't play sports games, but I've got 3 seasons done with the Seahawks and into week 9 with the very terrible Buccaneers.

Darksiders 2 - Very surprised how good this game is. I had no idea I would be playing as Death after playing with War in the first one, and now im sad the company dieded because there should probably be 4 games.

Rocksmith - Finally getting to the point in this game where all the songs have the full parts and it's a lot of fun to rock out upstairs on my PC when watching the kids.

Does it actually teach you to play? I have it for the 360 but ran into latency issues with my accoustic and it that I never got worked out. Would much rather play it over my $100 starter electric. Should try to get it working correctly again...

Oh, I ended up with a DOTA 2 key, like most people, and so I tried it out. I'm pretty awful at it, ding poorly even versus practice bots. I can see why people like these types of games, though.

I guess you had to register in 2012 since it can't find any information for mine despite having all my IDs registered.

I would say yes it teaches you how to play. It starts off very slow and there are a ton of practice sessions to work on chords and picking techniques. I've been playing for about 15 years so I was more interested in it as a game rather than a learning tool.

Latency is probably the biggest obstacle in the game, but it worked pretty well for me right away on PC. I have a bit of lag between when i hit a note and when it shows on screen, but the game counts it and plays the audio for it immediately. Kinda weird. On XBox I wouldn't expect it to be any laggier than Guitar Hero or Rock Band.
