Man, 500 Ranked wins for a golden hero is going to take forever. I'm at around 55 on Paladin, 62 on Mage, and 77 on Hunter. I guess I could forge that midrange Hunter deck that is destroying everything right now, but I just don't care for Hunter in general. I'd rather have a golden Paladin or Mage.

Using a new f2p pally deck I grabbed off Hearthpwn and I'm 2/0 with it right now. Seems like it's quite powerful as a f2p deck.

I could actually improve it, since my stock of cards has grown a fair bit, I'm just seeing if I like the playstyle before I bother.

That's what I'm using right now (keep in mind I bought 40 packs in total). Running two Divine Favor seems to be very hit or miss. I might switch one to a Lay on Hands, since I don't really have any heals either. I think I want to insert some more Divine Shields in there to take full advantage of the Blood Knights. Though, for 4 mana, playing a Squire into BK has worked very well at drawing out removals so when I get to late game, I can wreck with my heavy hitters and Redemption.

Hearthstone hates me. Last night with my warrior deck, which by all rights should be decent (self damage buff deck). I swear 7 games in a row loss, because the RNG gave me the worst opening cards ever. Also I probably just suck. My hunter deck I made pre-Hounds nerf, does pretty decent but I keep getting Win X As other class dailies.

You can change one quest, once a day. I usually just try to change any 40 gold quests in hopes I'll get a 60 or that awesome 100 gold quest (7 wins, any mode).

Huh, your minions can't attack your own minions. Wish I didn't learn that in an arena battle.

[EDIT]

I'm not saying that's why I lost and got stuck with a 2 victory reward, but the battle DID come right down to the end, and I didn't get to activate my windfury for a board clearing advantage because of it much earlier in the match...

Something that bothers me: Harvest Golem, when killed, triggers its Deathrattle, the Damaged Golem is summoned in the same place as the Harvest Golem. When, say, Cairne dies and Bane is summoned, Bane appears to the right of your board, like when a Shaman or Paladin uses their hero power. I get that the Damaged Golem is reassembled from the Harvest Golem, and that Bane is a completely different minion from Cairne, but there either needs to be an adjustment in the wording on these Deathrattles, or they all need to summon their replacements by the same rules. Basically, effects using the same verbiage should be consistent with each other.

No, but really. Yesterday I got the same +spell damage totem three times in a row, and I literally didn't have a single card in my deck it would help. But ANY of the other totems would have been useful.

Though I have to say the Shaman has a balance issue with the fact that the healing totem is way more powerful than the others.

I took cleric from 26 to dead in one turn the other day with my shaman deck. ....windfury. Luv totems. So far I've found them to be the most valuable hero skill.

I'd say Mage power is first. 1 damage for 2 mana doesn't sound like much, but judicious use of it makes it very effective. A 2/x minion can trade with a x/3 minion, you can bypass taunts to hit buffing minions (like totems), or just eat a remaining 2 mana to sew some chaos.

In conjunction with "when healed" spell effects, the priest hero power is stupidly effective, too.

Lost my Hardcore Crusader in Diablo 3. She was 65. I overextended myself by playing at a difficulty I was not properly geared for. On Master difficulty, I cleared four of five quests, and just needed to finish the last one to get my cache. The first four were pretty rough, but I figured I could eke one more out and then drop back down to Hard. Nope. Time to roll a new one. Smiley: laugh

Started playing Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag as having watched Black Sails put me into a piratin' mood. Fun so far, but I'm still just kicking around Havana, having ignored the plot in order to climb every tower and steal some chests. I've only played a few minutes of one other AC game (AC 2?) and that one had some blah-blah simulation crap in it as well so I guess that's part of the whole Assassin's Creed thing. Which I absolutely couldn't care less about and just want to do pirate parkour ****.

AC in a nutshell is Crusaders vs Assassins, both in present/future-ish time with crazy machines that let you relive the memory of your ancestors that's stored in your DNA which then lets you relive the great stories from hundreds of years ago and be all badass climbing towers and stabbing people in the face.

I can't bring myself to get back into the AC games. I'm unhappy with where they took the central (present-day) plot line, and I'm even more unhappy with what they've decided to do with the last two games.

I was worried about the Revolution game when they announced it, and I've seen little to suggest they didn't essentially do exactly what I feared they would (WOO HOO PATRIOTS!) In earlier games, the largescale world conflicts going on at the time had very heavy Templar influences on both sides, because war was one more way to control things. And, sure, they played with this idea in AC3... but the whole "Templars removed from the Americas, and General Washington is victorious!" thing is just too clean for this franchise.

And I just don't understand why the hell we're doing pirates now, besides wanting to capitalize on "PIRATES!". It's a stealth series, with organizations working from the shadows. Pirates were great for political machinations, but they weren't individually intelligence operatives.

That seems needlessly complicated for just climbing towers and face stabbing.

Yeah, but pirates...

Are you from ***** Island? I don't know that I'm "into" pirates but there really hasn't been that many decent Caribbean pirate-based games for me to get tired of them either. Not like zombie survival shooters or something.

Of course, I don't give a drowned bilge rat for Assassin Creed "purity" either so whether or not pirates fit the story is way down the list for me as opposed to "Am I having fun wandering the Spanish Main?"

It allows face stabbing and tower climbing in any time in history and any place in the world though, so that's cool.

That said, I liked the Ezio games the most. Renaissance Italy just feels like the right time and place to climb towers and stab faces.
