Is out today (technically last night). Haven't gotten to check out the new stuff yet, but there's quite a bit.

The changelog is rather lengthy so I'll just link it instead of pasting the whole thing here.

Sweet! I talked to a buddy at work about this the other day and then promptly forgot. Think I will spin up a new world for kicks this weekend. I wonder what the new materials and replacement for corruption will be like.

I just got into this game a week ago, and it's all I've been doing since. My wife and I rented a server online to invite our friends to play with. If anyone wants to join us PM me for the IP.

There is a game currently in beta called Starbound that is very similar to Terraria but it involves space travel and multiple planets etc. Only thing I don';t like about it right now is where its in beta they sometimes have to wipe save data. Something worth checking out though

I am digging starbound. I also find it more compelling than Terraria.

Decided to fire up a new Terraria game tonight (might as well get the card drops I never found before), and I quickly rediscovered how bad I am at the game. I died four times in the first night Smiley: lol

I'm interested in Starbound, but not at $15 for a constantly-wiped Beta. I was hoping it would go on sale during Steam's winter sale, but no luck Smiley: frown

I was thinking it might be fun to play a game with some friends where everyone made hardcore characters (deleted upon death) starting from scratch with the goal of building a base and defeating all the game's bosses. Between myself, my wife, her 9 year old daughter and two friends, no one survived for more than 45 minutes, after which one friend proceeded to use some program to spawn in all the best items/armor in the game and it stopped being fun very quickly.

I'm hoping Starbound isn't like Terraria in terms of single player items being stored on the character itself to be transferred to online play.

I have never been able to kill any of the hardmode bosses in Terraria.

If you use a character you've played elsewhere your items come with you when you do server play. At least the time I tried it.

Yeah, it will be 5 bucks or less in 3 months or less, I'm sure. Then in a bundle within 6-8 months.

I got suckered in by the fact that it was xmas and they had a 4 pack and it was on 3 of my steam friends' wish lists. So, easy gift.

I think this next update is supposed to be the end of the wipes with Starbound.
