I read on the Subreddit as soon as you can easily get the Masked Samurai to level 3000 you should regild to the Blue Ranger (Atlas) and skip the Black one and Frostleaf (if you aren't on FL already). After that you always switch to the next Ranger as soon as you get your current one to level 1600ish. Because that's the point you can level the next one to level 1000 after which he becomes more effective.

While I get the Samurai above level 3000 each run I haven't made the switch myself yet.

I decided to just say "Screw it!" and threw all my gilds into Terra from Frost Leaf Smiley: lol

It looks like I'm still idling to about the same part before I begin to really slow down (level 1600 or so). The difference being that Terra is only at like 1850, whereas Frost Leaf would be over 3000 already. I imagine if I play actively I'll be able to hit 2200 without any issues, and maybe 2400.

Edit: Oh man, and the new ability to Shift-Click and choose who to gild? Worth the 80 Hero Souls a pop.

So much this! Just regilded everything onto Atlas and having to click 129 times instead of ~129*30 was incredible.

I should get a lot further now since my Samurai was nearing level 4000 regularly in my runs. The beginning is way harder though. With the inherited gold from Khrysos I could buy the first 50 Samurai-levels. Only now he doesn't have his Gilds anymore which makes a huge difference. I have Iris at 80 and before I regilded that was the sweet spot. Now I have to go back ~20 zones and kill 1 or 2 enemies before the normal run begins. A bit annoying but I want to dump the next 500k Hero Souls into Morgulis and that should solve this problem.

I hope.

I'll be curious as to how this will affect my next ascension... my Iris is at 100, and I was thinking of boosting it to 200 when the new patch came. Now I'll need to see how quickly I can get to Terra next time... One good thing is that there are still food items (formerly candy). As long as they carry over ascensions like before, boosting Iris is more than worth it. Before today I could get all the way to Amenhotep right from the start, and it only took a minute to start pumping levels into Frost Leaf.

Managed to get to zone 2330, easily beating my previous record of 2050. Terra was up to about 3300, I think? It was slow, especially after zone 2200, but a lot faster than previously since I don't need to use EDR to advance. Terra should carry me to zone 2400 pretty easily.

Dropped 99 more levels into Iris, ascended with food. There's a bit of a slowdown around level 250 before unlocking the Dread Knight, but it isn't too bad so far. Took me 10 minutes on the nose to unlock Atlas, so maybe a couple more to start pumping levels into Terra again. Time to build up some of my Ancients for a while before attempting a run at 2400.

The only complaint I have about the new heroes is they all have the exact same skillset. But since they are supposed to be some kind of Captain Planet-groupies + Power Rangers hybrid (I guess) it fits thematically to have them being more or less equal.
