I am skinny.

I am white.

I have no tan whatsoever to speak of.

I have no asian relatives.

I am a DDR-fiend. My favorite is "Dynamite Rave" on Standard ^_^... One of those songs that actually feels like dancing (Like #1 on the list below).

I personally like to do for fun:

1.) "Let's Groove" - Heavy

2.) "Afronova" - Standard (Heavy mode requires 4 feet)

3.) "AM-3P" - Heavy (I love half-beat steps)

4.) "Maxx Unlimited" - Light (haven't tried standard... too intimidated)

5.) "Tsugaru" - Standard

What songs do you do?

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

I'd have to say I like the song Dynamite Rave on easy, I'm not hardcore like some people who come to the arcade in workout gear.

I really like the two versions of Healing Vision, but the regular is too easy on standard, but too hard on heavy. Angelic Mix is a bit too much for me to practice on when I'm paying 75c a play hehe.

It's all about Afronova on Standard... the part with the nearly-constant double steps is great. The funny thing is... I do it all from muscle memory now, as if my body was controlling me moreso than my brain. It's an interesting feeling.

hmm, can you play solo on 75c? wether I wanna play single or 2 people costs a buck 50 here, rather annoying.

TOtally agree about Afronova on standard by the way, I used to do the double steps facing the crowd behind me, it was righteous.

Yeah... Here the norm is 75 for solo play, 1.50 for Versus or Double mode (double should only be 75 =p).

LMAO... I'll have to try the double steps facing the crowd next time.

I go to the movie theatres now around prime time, buy a movie ticket an hour ahead... wait for a crappy person and/or a family to play, and then I play after them...

It's a great boost in confidence when everyone watching wants to be as skilled as you are. Of course... when I leave the theatres now... my shirt is completely drenched, and I've kicked my deodorants *** =p.

I think the best song I've done was 1 great on Spin the Disc(H), and I'm really starting to like Leading Cyber(H).

As for workout gear, well, it's common for people to bring a towel and/or water, simply because repeated games of DDR will make you sweat.

Being a guy who isnt skinny, and that has worked on strength over speed, im not too great at the game but i do think it kicks major ***. My girlfriend loves it and her sis came in third at a local competition. Id have to say my fav song is Holic, even for large white guy i get like a B on standard mode.

Anything I do in my life would be greater than Dance Dance Revolution. In fact, if I did nothing at all with my life, I would still be greater than you and your dancing buddies.

I don't spend my time and money in an arcade dancing like a retarded midget. Although I do know some 13-year old kids you might want to meet. I'm sure you would have a lot in common.

Oh, and BTW, read the purpose of this forum please. Note the part that says "non-game related subjects".

so since we like to play an arcade game that breaks the standard arcade game format and requires some actuall physical effort we're class A losers, and you pwn all of us? righto then.

PS. You're a class A loser for not doing anything in your life and chastizing people on message boards for video games they enjoy.

Hey good reader, I never said that I don't do anything with my life. I do plenty, like working 50 hours a week and having a family. How about you? Other than DDR, of course.

And that "physical effort" you mentioned? Yea, you look like a group of douche bags when you are on that machine. Everyone is making fun of you, in case you were wondering what that loud laughing everytime you step onto the machine is about.

I find it utterly amazing that people pay money to do this crap.

Karioke is bad enough, but at least the people involved are usually
1: drunk
2: doing it for free

Sheesh, take up a sport or something. Go shoot something. Eat some red meat. Rare. Anything that'll help em drop on down into the sack.
#22 Jul 13 2004 at 12:05 PM Rating: Good
woah woah woah, if ya dont like the game, dont post anything,

simple as that

And just so ya know, people dont care how cool they look when they play
Its Konami's little secret joke
They made DDR, Just so the dancer could look stupid, but the person usually dont really care beacuse theyre just having fun.
And isnt having fun the main thing?

and for those that think people dont have any rhythem for playing this, Watch some freestylers play it.
Im on a local Break team, and I can honestly say, this helps out alot when trying to learn new dance moves

Uhh, hate to break this to ya, but it IS a sport, and how would shooting, or eating food help us at all, other than making ourselves look like an obese white trash farmer that has a mullet and white beater, screaming how the south will rise again?
Your disgusting :O

Azelyre, please take a little time off from your massive posting (6), and look into a class about grammar, spelling, and punctuation. It will work wonders for you, I guarantee it. Heck, it may even allow you to get away from that crappy job you have. You know, the one where you get balls on your chin for 60 minutes at a time for a measly $10? And yes, you only get paid $10 an hour because you are so uneducated, you can't even give a proper *******. Come now, your mommy taught you better than that.

Maybe that belonged in the Asylum......
#24 Jul 13 2004 at 2:09 PM Rating: Good
ooooo yes your post i think belongs elsewhere...

Take a step back you pesimists (sp?) and check it out sometime. I'm not asking you to do it, just look at two people who are really good.

Now tell me if that isn't amazing. Two people hustlin', sweating their backs off, but doing everything in complete unison. Simply unbelievable what technology can make humans do these days.
