AVP.. Whoever wins, we lose!!!Follow

Is it me or could this be one of the most badass movies of the year. I was watching the HBO making of special and the effects are insane! They show this one scene of a facehugger jumping all matrix style at a Predator. He just whips out some Krull looking weapon and throws it at the facehuggers. Splits the little $^%@ in half and then it comes back to the Predator's hand!

I personally love both franchises. If I had to pick however, I am pulling for the Predators just cause it took the meanest mother to take them down(Ah-Nuld!). Also I have been hearing rumors that the infamous PredAlien will make an appearance in this film. They were in the Aliens vs. Predator game for PS2 and were badass.

I predict humanity will be the deciding factor because of some sort of moral sacrafice.

With humerous consequences.

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

Anybody read the AvP books published a few years back? From what I've seen of the trailer it seems the movie might follow at least the general idea of those books. I have been really looking forward to the movie and hope that it, unlike some of the other "summer blockbusters", meets expectations.

Aliens and Predators are fighting at the top of the temple all together and the Predators blow them selves up to kill all the aliens and the temple to, end game.

This scene you are talking about is not the end of the movie. Merely one battle that has taken place over the thousands of years that these rituals have gone on. The story behind this is interesting enough.

Basically it will play out that the ancient pyramids of the world were built by the Predators as a shrine for a ritual that all teenager Predators must undertake to become true warriors of the clan. The scene you refer to is a flashback to a past battle and its outcome(which by the way is totally badass).

The pyramid those three are atop of is somewhere in the desert. This movie takes place in a pyramid beneath the artic tundra. So this cannot be how the movie ends...merley how it begins perhaps? Anyways this and Resident Evil: Apocolypse have my vote for most anticipated Sci-Fi flicks for the year.

I didnt mind the first RE movie, of course i think Dawn of the Dead and 28 days later blew it out of the water.

As for AvP ive been a fan of each, im a child of the 80's so its kinda hard to miss those movies. Also read some of the comics and thought AvP2 for computer was a fun FPS to play online.

I think AvP has potential, but then again i thought Alien 3 and Ressurrection had potential. Dunno i hope but im sure despite amazing special effects the movie will be the equivalent of King Kong vs Godzilla or Freddy vs Jason.

At first I thought you mean "we lose" as in "we wasted our money paying for tickets." Then I realized you were actually excited about it.

You probably won't find me spending $9 bucks to go see it but you may see me paying $3 for a movie rental of it in about a month. (To many other movies I'd rather see right now and comming out the rest of this month.)

Speaking of Dawn of the Dead, anyone see previews for Shaun of the Dead, looks hilarious.
Oh, and AVP, I am gonna root for the Predators, and I figure they will end up helping humanity, that whole bipedal humanoid vs. insect looking monster thing.

I didn't think much of Dawn of the Dead. It was worth a good laugh, but that was it. I would probably put it in the same boat as House of the Dead. ~shiver~ Now 28 Days was a fun movie. What is this Shaun of the Dead? I haven't gone to see a movie in over a week since Collateral didn't look that great. AvP on the other hand looks to be a pretty fun movie and I think will be worth my $5 dollars.
