I just stumbled across this one last week. Haven't gotten a single bit of spam from them yet. A music company called ShakeFire.com is giving away a 51" Sony Projection TV on October 5. Looks pretty sweet to me :)

Soprino doesn't like how plasma televisions reflect a lot of sunlight. It makes Soprino annoyed, and Soprino can't stand watching them for more than thirty minutes.

I'm still a CRT HD guy. The plasma quality is ******. The footprint is obviously great, but still not up to CRT picture standards.

Soprino just has a regular 27" TV.
Plasmas really arent all they are cracked up to be... specially since the tech. is relatively new.
From what I understand, they can get burnt REAL fast... so if you watch shows that have the channel icon in the bottom... well you may be seeing that permanently. And you have to get the plasma refilled or changed or something like that (or so I was told by the guy at the store when I was looking for a new TV)
PErsonally I LOVE my 53 inch Flatscreened HDTV. Its all paid off now so I love it even more! Just gotta be careful of the burning problems when we play video games. They also can burn images (The projection TVs) so you just have to be careful. Havent had any problems yet, but then again I dont play THAT much hehe.

i have a 120" projection screen in my basement. Its more clear than our HDTV upstairs.
I have a friend who is getting a Home Theater with 200" HD/TV and some nice surround sound.
all seriousness. my neighbor has mini-theatre...70" tv on their wall. Surround sound all around the room. its pretty cool.

Ya the DLP ones also make great PC displays. I wish I had waited a little longer, but I got a great deal on my 56" tv. 1799 delivered when the best sale on them was 2299 anywhere else.
Plasma has a long way to go before they truely rock.
