What MMOs would you like to see?Follow

#1 Aug 21 2004 at 3:41 AM Rating: Decent
I would LOVE to see Shadowrun Online.

They have Vampire the Masqerade, they're doing Matrix Online, why not Shadowrun? It lends itself perfectly to Online. I loved it, especially on Genesis.

Imagine the possibilities: 4 in your party, 2 street samurai's 1 decker (hacker), and 1 shaman. You took a run to get a package out of a corp. office. While the Street Samurai and Shaman go into the building, the decker hacks into the matrix (net) from a remote location, opens doors, disable security systems, etc.

Sound fun? Sounds like it could make things more interesting than the current crop of MMOs.

Too bad it'll never happen.

I never liked Shadowrun all that much.

Now Cyberpunk 2020, that could be cool.

What I really want, is a Marvel-based MMO.

That would be neat...

Supermans, and Spidermans, and the Hulk.

A Marvel-Based-MMORPG would be the ****.

I have my doubts on a Pokemon MMOG...

It would only attract a small age group, IMHO 8-13

Not enough people playing would be its downfall.

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

I'd like to see a bible MMO, where you get to raise your "Compassion Points" by cutting services to the elderly, the sick, children, and the poor.

I'd like to see a modern military like MMORPG, were you get to go up in the chain off command, and order lots of people around, and do all that fun stuff. Kinda like Savage, only with modern guns and such!

Might and Magic Online would be cool. It would probably play a lot like Everquest, but those games have never disappointed me and are classics.

Another good one from SE would be Dragon Warrior/Quest Online. That would go over huge in JP, but they would never do it because it would compete against this game.

I think that a Cops and Robbers type of game would be real good.
Maybe a Vigilante vs Crime type of game. Like City of Heros, but with good guys and bad guys having regular human abilities. Cops can form parties to foil the robbery attempt of a party of crooks or thieves.

Like the conquest system, cops and crooks can control 'blocks', or 'corners', eventually whole cities. Cop controlled areas would have informants and undercovers to help, while gang/crook controlled areas have safe houses and lookouts.

I'm kind of from the streets, so i always wished they made a game like this. A GTA online so to speak... if done intelligently, it could change gaming forever.

I wouldn't mind a good D&D online game set in the Forgotten Realms. Or maybe one set in the Legend of the Five Rings series. The chance to actually travel those lands would be great.

I don't see FASA doing anything new, since FASA died a long time ago and took the Shadowrun series with it. It was kind of unfortunate since I was quicklly getting into it. Of course, it might have had something to do with having a really go GM.

It shouldn't. I never liked DBZ. The chinese would eat that up. They're even more freaky about MMOs than we are.

A friend of mine told me Microsoft aquired them. I doubt that. If I'm wrong, don't kill me! *Ducks rotten tomatos*

The first two Grand Theft Autos (you know, when nobody played or heard about it?) were online on the PC.

Day of Defeat is not a MMOG....

Diablo 2 MMORPG (Diablo is MUCH better than War Craft, and should have been made a mmorpg first Blizzard...)[/sm)

Middle-Earth MMORPG [sm](let's hope they don't ***** it up...)

Military MMORPG (like a mix of WW2O and Savage. In a battle, there is one commander, and all the other people on the screen are other live people, and that guy has to request reienforcements from accross the world, and the pentagon decided to ship him some tanks and... I'll stop now!)

Wrestling, they should definitely make a wrestling MMOG. That would amuse the hell out of me...for 4 seconds.
