Silent Hill 4:The Room (PC, PS2, Xbox) - Great series, nice atmosphere, storylines that top any horror film.

Star Ocean 3 (PS2) - The last one was great, one of my top favorite games of all time.

Metal Slug Advance (GBA) - Classic SNK run n gun game with great graphics on a portable.

Midway Arcade Treasures II (PS2, Xbox, GC)- Includes Mortal Kombat II & III, and some old ones like Spy Hunter II. Can't wait.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus (PS2, Xbox, GC) -
The last one wasn't that great, but at least it has 4 players at once. Also has an unlockable version of the 1990s arcade game.

Metal Gear Solid 3(PS2)- Snake in the jungle, real stealth.

Grand Theft Auto-San Andreas(PS2)- 3 different cities the same size as Vice City in one game. Nuff said.

Final Fantasy XII(PS2)- Square-enix latest FF, look set to be the best yet.

WoW - 'nuff said.

EQ2 - saw this at April's Fan Faire.. freakin' awesome.

KOTOR II - i'm a huge SW fan, so this automatically gets a vote.

NHL 2005 - I look forward to the new hockey games every year though.

Fable - if this plays anything like it's supposed to, this is going to be in my xbox for a long while.

that's all I can think of at the moment.

(1)Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater

(2)Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Those are the only ones that I'm planning on getting.

I'm so terribly hooked on FFXI. Not even the vaunted Madden has my interest this year.

Half Life 2!!!
I have Doom 3 and am somewhat disappointed with it so far. It looks great, but the dark cramped hallways are bugging me.

Dunno

Metal Gear 3 im not to pumped about mainly cause MGS2:Sons of Liberty was such a steaming pile that i have little hope.

WoW and EQ2 look nice but for the sake of having a personal life i have given up on MMO's.

Silent Hill 4 should be nice, all the games so far have been very decent. Of course its one of those game i rather watch someone play than actually have to play myself.

KOTOR 2 im looking forward to, im purposefully not reading anything about it, i heard nothing about the first one before i played and i was so happy with it. Hoping the same with the second.

FFXII im not at all excited about. They havent put out a good FF game since FF:Tactics. XI and X were okay and i consider FFXI a game entirely unto itself.

Fable i havent heard much about it but its looking nice

San Andreas probably be another fine huge, well put together game with a decent story and lots of fun roaming around like the previous games. They never really captured my interest but amazing games none the less.

Yeah, I could never get into playing the Silent Hill series. Of course, it was like the Resident Evil series. I always got killed by the first zombie over and over again. The controls were a nightmare. Tomb Raider had the same problem. I ended up using Code Breaker to get through the Resident Evil series. Its not the game play, its the story that makes the game.

I'm through with FFXI for at least the next two months. I will come back and give it a try. If it doesn't click I will find something else.

Never like the Metal Gear series, or the Siphon Filter types. I prefer FPS, Strategy (Rome: Total War, WH40K Dawn of War), and RPG's. Besides, I think Tales of Symphonia is going to take a while.

Yep, I forgot to mention Rome: Total War. I looks like it will be alot better than Medieval: Total War. If thats even possible. I keep hoping Black & White 2 will turn into something better than the first one, but it doesn't look like it will come out anytime soon.

I got fed up with TMNT after the NES version, and after the movies. That and they ruined the comic book series a long time ago.

Bard's Tale would be a nice one. If it compares to the old one. Of course XP is giving me a lot of hell trying to play it.

KOTR II is definetly on my list. The first one was amazing. Now, why can't they do all the PC RPG's like that?

Fable, unfortunately is an XBOX only RPG. They haven't made a decent RPG yet. Thats one of the reasons, I haven't bought one yet.

Some of the new Star Wars games seem to have potential. We will have to see how they turn out. Then of course there is always Tribes to look forward to. Even though I get shot to hell every time I play. I guess I'm just glutton for punishment.

There's the obvious:

Halo 2
GTA: San Andres
FFXII

Also looking forward to:

DOA Online
Fable

And does anyone know if Shenmue 3 is in the works or if it will even exist? I loved 1 and 2 and can't wait to play 3 if it is ever made. If anyone has any info on it please let me know.

San Andreas is really the only one I'm looking forward to right now. I think there's an RPG coming out for PS2 that uses the Forgotten Realms storyline, so that has potential, but could be a dud.

I'm still trying to finish up Doom 3 and Far Cry in between the FFXI marathons.

That's one of the reasons why RE and the first Silent Hill never appealed to me. Those RC Racer style controls made no sense and were cumbersome. Fortunately, Silent Hill 2-4 allows you to switch to 2D control where you pull the controller in the direction you want to walk. I agree tho, Silent Hill is more fun to watch than to play. Someone should play though all of them and tape it. They could make a few buch selling it.

If you hate the RC controls of Resident Evil, you might want to check out Resident Evil Outbreak. Its online, and has the control scheme mentioned in the above paragraph.

I've played the Grand Theft Auto games since the 1st one came out in 1998 on the PSOne. My ex-girlfriend turned me on to 3, and I was impressed. Got Vice City also, but some of those missions got frustrating and difficult. I've never beaten any of those games. I don't plan on getting San Andreas.

FPS got old and stale with Doom if you ask me.

The only antiquated genre I like to play is 2D fighters. Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, and any SNK fighter is fun.

I don't know. Haven't heard anything about it. Of course, I just hope that thing bring Shenmue to a better system then the Dreamcast (other than the XBOX). It was a pretty cool game, and the story was great. My Dreamcast died though and buying another one isn't in my plans. Kept the games though, at least I was able to buy Skies of Arcadia for Game Cube.

Sad as it sounds, there is some truth to that. Have you tried playing a 2D fighter lately against another person? Now there's something that takes reflexes.

I'm also not willing to fully upgrade my CPU and spend hundreds of $$ to play one new FPS game.

Something new, original, and most importantly, FUN needs to be the standard of CPU gaming besides FPS. MMOs are a step in the right direction.
