Short, sweet and not too tasking. How about some details? You know like favourite bits or some background on the film for those who don't know.

If you going to post about a film, make the content more substantial please.

Just some friendly tips for you

I haven't seen it yet, but it looks pretty cool.

Here's the trailer if you happen to have missed it.

It was a great movie. I have already seen it twice. Also, since nothing really interesting comes out this week I will probably go see it again. I like the fact that they did have some historical basis. I don't recall to many movies that even go into Qin and his work to unite China. Shoot, Qin was a few hundred years before the Three Kingdoms Era. Don't recall the actual dates, but I wish they would do more like that.

HERO is AWESOME, seen it like 10 times, only because I ordered the movie off the net at www.kungfumovies.net For those of you who didn't know HERO is from 2002 and was best martial arts movie of 2002, Quentin Terrentino just brought it to the United States. There are some wording differences though, like when the army in the beginning is sayin Storm Storm Storm, in my version on dvd they are saying Hail Hail Hail. Also when they are talking near the end of the movie and broken sword writes 2 words in the ground that say Our Land and my version, the one from china, it's actually 3 words...All Under Heaven. In the theatre version their are some extended scenes but not much.

One of the better movies I've seen in quite some time.
Good action - martial arts choreography;
Great presentation of philosophy and bushido;
The artistry and use of color in the film-making was outstanding.

Go see this movie, then sit back and reflect...

I noticed this too, at first I didn't realize it but after about the 3rd time watching it, I was like dude! why does that calligraphy guy, whos name was broken sword, keep dying? In every story that is told he dies in them.

The only part of the movie I didn't like was the fight scene with Broken sword over the lake.

That was a little too Peter-pannish gay for my taste in fighting.

Other than that, the movie kicked ***. I enjoyed it immensely. It will join my DVD collection.

I liked it. It wasn't a sweeping epic like Crouching Tiger, but it was much more minimalist and easy to digest. Had some Shakespearean-style tragedy. Ending bothered me a bit, though.

Oh, my favorite scene was the fight with Sky, the guy with the spear. It had that cool twangy guitar-sounding music (don't know the name of the instrument he was playing), reminded me of a western.

The fighting scene in the yellow leaves was also very cool.

It was reminiscent of the spaghetti westerns and I have to agree that it was the best fight scene in the movie. Kind of sad that it came so early in.
