So I got a promotion yesterday afternoon at work. It was a pretty significant raise which will allow me to pay off my student loans in 5 years which is frickin sweet. Hopefully then I can buy a house and have a kid. Smiley: eek

Anyway, so as a surprise my better half got me one of those new 4g Ipod nanos that play video too. I have never had an Ipod because I never thought I would get use out of it, but this thing is really cool.

Does anyone have any suggestions for accessories?

I do have one complaint: Why in the hell do I have to have Itunes in order to even use the thing. My PC wouldn't even recognize the device until Itunes was installed and updated. Why can't I just transfer files via drag and drop to folder like I do with my PSP. Its really stupid. And people complain about
Microsoft??????

So I have a new promotion and a new toy. Now all I need is good sex and I'm set till tomorrow.

Grats and no idea on the Ipod stuff. I have never owned one and probably won't be anything soon. My cell works good enough for me.

Congrats on the promotion Smiley: yippee

If your car doesn't have an actual Ipod input I would recommend the FM transmitter/charger kit. Its just not the same listening to it through your headphones as through a nice car stereo.

Something that I've always wanted to get but been too cheap to do it is a clock radio that has the ipod connection so that I can wake up to the ipod's song list.

I bought him a nice $1300 gaming computer for his birthday in September, but I like buying him stuff so I will probably buy him one too so we can sync them together.

Congratulations Gem! That's awesome!

I love my iPod. It goes everywhere with me now. But I use it more to watch videos than actually listen to music. I'll watch 2 or 3 episodes of Friends or Monk while I'm doing cardio at the gym.

This is my absolute favorite part about using my PSP as an MP3 player. I bought a larger (1g) memory stick for it instead of buying an iPod, and I consider it a worthwhile investment. Not because I think iPods are the devil or anything like that, but because the fact that they jam itunes down your throat irks me.

I also enjoy the PSP for pictures and wireless internet browsing. That, and it plays Lumines. Very important to me.

I have nothing on my PSP EXCEPT for Lumines. That is such an addicting game.

I don't see myself watching videos on it. I rarely used my PSP for that purpose and the Ipod screen is much much smaller so I think thats probably a no go. I am more interested in using it to play music while I am on my PC since my Processor is a bit slow and it can't play WoW and music at the same time.

I am also interested in getting an AM/FM tuner for it so I can listen to the radio which I very much enjoy.

I have a laptop for watching stuff on.

The only other game I own for it is Dynasty Warriors, because I'm a giant DW geek. Smiley: grin
