Yeah, now you get it.

I was aiming more at the soldier hating aspect though :P

Well yeah, the whole soldier-hating thing is weird, because Ikkian's Canadian. Doesn't make any sense, at all.

Seriously though, Ikkian sucks.

Okay, really, they're some of the most convoluted haters ever. They protest at soldiers' funerals because of the sins of the nation; because we allow homosexuality to exist. Personally, I blame the purple Tele-Tubby, Richard Simmons, Patrick Swayze and Ikkian.

I'm not sure about your premise. I really think they're just high on self-righteousness.

They're Christian in the same way Torquemada was Christian, which is to say, not at all. It's a socially acceptable backdrop for their seething hatred of everyone outside their inner circle of pathological worthlessness.

True, that may be the case now, but I doubt they started out that way. A lot of non-denominational churches end up with the same "holier than thou" attitude and look down on everyone else (even if they share the same views) that doesn't belong to their little group.

I attended one in it's early stages and had the utmost respect for them, but as the years went by it became more and more twisted until they lost sight of what they set out to do.

The breaking point.. well I say breaking point, but I merely used it as an excuse to quit attending.. was when officials actually walked in on a service and arrested the head Deacon. Him and his wife were both these hippopotamus size "evangelists" that had apparently been adopting children and using them as a sort of slave labor. They looked like they plucked them straight out of Ethiopia.

His main shtick was "translating God's tongue" when people would start up with that crazy ancient language that "only the heart knows." What a load of bullShit.

This is a bad move in my opinion... free speech is free speech. No matter how downright nutty the message is.

If they were civil rights activists protesting at the funeral of a KKK leader, would you be saying the same things?

Yes.

A funeral isn't about the dead guy. It's about his family and friends.
