So, anyone have any idea what this is? I've done pretty much every secret level and hidden thing in this game... but never seen this at all.

Can't sleep, clown will eat me.
It looked fake to me, but maybe that was the idea. Mario was just sliding along (his character only changed when grabbing those items or swimming), and everything was placed just right.

These are specially created levels in which the characters get through a usually tough looking area without moving. Some of the more creative ones use the music boxes to make the tempo of a song, there was a very good one with dragonforce in it.

It's called Automatic Mario, you use a Rom to custom edit a level that can be beaten without moving.
