But (s)he lives over a mile away? No worries, just get your hands on a Canon 1200mm f 5.6.
You can recognize faces over a mile away and this thing is a better compensation for your small member than a hummer (and more expensive as well).

Also useful for shooting rocket launches, North Korean rocket launches if you have to, wildlife photography for those too lazy to actually go on a safari and taking pictures of the pope while he's taking a bath.

Indeed. No more mid-life crisis for this lady.

She's already a tripod. Smiley: lol

I wonder if she took a picture now, would we see the looks of horror on the bacteria covering the ants?

You'd see smudginess and nothingness. It's minimum focusing range is 14 meters.

I wonder what would happen if you shined a laser pointer through the lens.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was what was used to take those photos. From 2 miles away.

Wouldn't just buying a $20,000 diamond and offering it to various neighbors until they say yes be less expensive and oddly enough less creepy than just buying a $50,000 lense to spy on them?

Guess we can decommission Hubble now. Just put a guy in a suit up there with that sucker and start snappin'.

In before pictures of aliens tanning topless.

That would be a pretty weak Hubble.

There's no place for your cynical realism here.

Nothing that a good pair of binoculars or a cheap telescope cant do. And where I grew up it seemed that peoples favorite past time was watching your neighbors.
