For those of you that shower regularly (i.e. not Nixnot), do you shower on the weekends if you aren't leaving the house, or having company?

I usually don't. I can survive a Saturday and Sunday by myself without showering. But if it's a 3 or 4 day weekend that I don't plan on going anywhere, I usually feel too dirty by the third day to not shower.

I also find myself completely forgetting about my fingernails until they are so long they hit the keys in front of my fingers when I'm typing and then I clip them.

If I go to the gym, then yes, absolutely.

If it's summertime, in Georgia that means showering daily, sometimes twice a day, because.

But during the winter, on days I don't go to the gym, I'll probably skip a shower at least one weekend day unless I'm feeling particularly grungy, or get involved with a project that makes a mess.

I shower before going out, always. However, if I go out Friday and stay in Saturday, it's not unusual for me to skip the shower Saturday and maybe even Sunday, so long as I shower before work on Monday. This applies only when I choose to be a bum all weekend. Any shopping or eating out requires a shower.

I always do before work and if I am going out, About the only time I don't is if I am home for a day off and not going anywhere beyond picking up kids or getting something quick at grocery store.

If I go no where that is going to get me dirty, I do not. I'll shower after work on Friday and take a shower Sunday night before bed.
Now if I get out and do whatever and feel dingy, then I'll shower as needed.

Sometimes I don't shower on the weekend, but I'll still do a quick face/pits/crotch/butt/feet with a washcloth.

Cleaning each of those individual areas with a wash cloth is either more time consuming or less effective than taking a shower. What's the point?

I shower at night when I awaken. On Fridays, I go work out, so I shower after that. I do hold off on my Saturday night shower until Sunday morning, however.

I don't even own a washcloth... And I shower pretty much every day anyway because it feels nice and during weekends you can take the time for one.

How can it be more time consuming unless you don't wash those individual areas when you're in the shower?

It's less time consuming than taking a shower and more effective than doing nothing.

You strip down, grab a cloth, turn on the sink (or faucet in the tub), scrub your face, pits, crotch, butt, feet, then you have to rinse them off, then dry off and get dressed... instead of just hopping in the shower. It takes longer to clean each individual place outside of the shower rather than cleaning them all while you were in the shower, if just for the idea that rinsing happens simultaneously while you are washing other areas.

A quick morning shower for me is usually just hair/pits/crotch/butt. The stinky spots.

I guess. For me, it's certainly less time-consuming than jumping in the shower would be.

That's a ************ joke...

But as a guy, I don't take nearly that long to finish.

Just grab a bottle of beer and sit down in the shower while drinking it. One of the best things in the world.

I usually make it most of the day but almost always end up wanting a shower by mid afternoon, even if I never left the apt. I just don't like feeling dirty :(.

My nails are always shaped square-tipped and I'm one of the lucky gals that can grow out her nails to any length. I know that my nails are too length when it's gets awkward to type.

For showering up, it depends on my workout and my hair. I have really long hair so if my hair and scalp don't feel too grimy, I'll wait to shower the next day. But if I've had a good workout, I have to shower, even if I showered just a few hours before.

On the days that I don't shower, my hair of course is up in a bun. And it goes without saying, that if I'm not outside my house, I'm always braless and commando.

Usually I shower on Sunday mornings, but not Saturday mornings (I'm a shower-in-the-morning kind of person). Ditto for shaving, though sometimes I hold off until Monday.

I'm a "always shower every morning" kinda guy. Part of that is because I have fine long hair, and it's pretty much stringy/tangled and gross after sleeping. Everyone once in a great while I'll skip the morning shower on a Saturday or Sunday if I know I'm not leaving the house at all, but honestly, it takes like 10 minutes to shower and it just feels a lot better to be fully clean and fresh and ready to meet the day. It just feels grungy to put clothes on when I haven't showered, so showering is the first thing I do when I get out of bed. It's literally: roll out of bed, walk into the bathroom, turn on water and let it warm up while I pee, then in the shower.

It's just the routine I'm used to, so I do it every day regardless of what my plans are.

This, but on the (weekend) days I skip a shower, I usually skip a change of clothes too. It's only really applicable when I really feel like doing absolutely nothing and going absolutely nowhere all day long. Even then, I have a threshold where I have to tell myself "my god man, you stink" and it becomes unbearable. Point being, if I'm putting clean clothes on, I'm going to shower first. Period.

The only maintenance I forgo on the weekends is shaving unless I'm actually going out for some event. Really, I shave about twice a week. Shave Wednesday, ignore the scruff on Thursday, on Friday say "***** it, it's Friday" then go the weekend and finally on Sunday night I'll remove my proto-beard before bed so I don't have to take the time out Monday morning.
