Because a lot of people where I work don't use a mop and bucket correctly. You don't use a dry mop to scrub a floor, and the bucket o' water just to clean the dry mop.

Other than that, nothing going on here.

Proper way to mop:

Dry mop the floor
Clean the dry mop in the bucket
Wait for someone to come along, tell you you're doing it wrong, and wrench the mop from your hands
Walk away, letting someone else mop up the mess

And that says a lot, since this is probably the only mop thread ever.

I'm on whole 'nother level, being able to come in last in a competition of one!

That's so not true. There have been several in the WoW forums; they tend to be suspiciously off topic though.

Mopping is easy. Most people seem to be far more inept at sweeping.

The proper way to mop is to tell the guy with the mop and bucket to mop. If you are in possession of a mop and bucket you are doing it wrong.

I tried using the mop, but the water wouldn't stick to that hard wooden end right, evven though i dunked it repeatedly, and it was way too small to make any progress. Also the large fluffy handle on the other end kept getting in my way and wasn't very effective. Maybe I need a different bucket? THis one had a wringer, but when I put the wooden part in it, it exploded and now I have slivers. Smiley: frown
