I noticed awhile back that no one ever changes the subject in their replies. Is that because there really isn't a purpose to do so or one of those taboo things of the forum?

Admin edit: ok, I gotta do it...

If you change the subject it just turns the reply into a new thread.

test #2

Edit, ok, the one above the subject was changed. I replied to it, and didn't change the subject from the base thread in this one, and it reverted to the origional subject. I could edit the origional thread base subject and change it that way though, but changing the subject mid post doesn't really seem to do much at least for admin accounts.

Test

Edit: Yeah, looks like it's been fixed since I first learned of it.

Edit#2: If you check the live view you can see the new subject, but it still redirects you to the OP.

I pretty much only use quick reply so I never see the subject at all.

I tried to make it so you would log out when you clicked it but I guess you can't do that anymore or I just botched it.

Why would you not use quick reply? It's so much easier.

That is a horrible function to have. In other forums, you can title your post, but changing the thread's name seems like a misuse of permission. Maybe it's the IT in me...

I don't think it can. Is dead on dead considered necrophilia, or you know, just a couple of dead folks gettin' it on?
