Random Sunday football thoughts:
1) The Panthers were under-rated, they do seem to have a really nice defense put together down there. Or maybe the Giants just really suck, suppose it could be both, but those cats haven't allowed very many points this year.
2) It'll be interesting to see how these read-option QBs adjust to everyone having figured out their tricks. Guess we see who is actually any good, and who just rode the new trick to a nice contract.
3) For all that "Pats are terrible this year" commentary I heard, they're still on top of what's looking like a tough division this year.
4) I'm not sure any of the pundits, columnists, etc can really identify which teams are any good and which teams aren't prior to the rest of us. It's like if there isn't 5 or 6 games on record for the team everyone is just guessing. It's hard to tell the difference between 2 good teams playing and two mediocre ones then? Beats me.
