Did they kill the FFXIV forum?

Yea, not sure why the conversation is happening here and not at least in =22. The FFXIV forums here are about as good as the old FFXI forums, which is to say not at all, but I'd agree that the conversation doesn't really belong here.

Because this forum is dead, so we're not bothering anyone, and it's easier to just have the conversation where we are?

I don't care where it goes (bet that one shocked you), was just curious how this ended up catching on like this. In the past, when a lot of us were playing FFXI, the occasional convo came up but I don't remember people retelling events in such detail, so was wondering if you guys were THAT into the game or just desperate for anywhere semi-normal to talk about it.

You're always free to not click on the thread.

Can't say the thread's title didn't warn you.

On topic, though, the patcher won't patch and now I had to reinstall the entire thing. And I might have reinstalled the wrong language version.

This game is losing the war for my attention real fast.

What's with the ffxivsetup.exe process not closing? Just sits there in my task manager...

Good thing I'm on the other end of a computer screen that you can't see. We'll never have to find out if it really does bother you.

It actually is surprising to me since the thread in =22 isn't really getting much action (though to be fair that thread is super long and actually started as a FFXV thread). But yea, generally I think we're having fun with it and there's class balance and other things to talk about.

I think it's mostly that the topics of conversation were different, and they branched.

The FFXIV thread was more people who were actually playing, and less people talking about it. Smiley: lol

Honestly the game is truly awesome. My fiancee and I are having a blast with it, but yea, there's issues where you sort of sit there, stare at the screen and go "WTF!?!?!"

My favourite moment so far has to be when we were dropped into the Ifrit fight via Duty Finder... with only 3 members.

I was going to move it, but then i figured it might show up on search and lure more OOTers in. We'll probably do ask an admin thread in November like usual in here, so that should result in at least a temporary user count bump if you guys don't break them.

But the ones we don't break come out stronger for the experience.

And the ones we do... well those are entertaining. They'll do anything for a rateup.
