My Aunt use to drink this all the time. She is still maybe a speed freak. We were never allowed to drink any of it (of course we did). The grape flavored one is all I remember as being the bees knees if sleep was something you did not want to partake in.

Either the video was taken a while ago or she's older than she appears in that...

Also, is Truefax like Carfax?

Back during the 90s, we had these things called fax machines. Back then, we weren't as good at making purely technological devices, so we used a lot of magitech. The fax machine was one such device. Each fax machine had a spirit bound to it, which is how the pages were copied at great distances. But there was a problem. You see, some companies were less than scrupulous about what spirits they used, so you'd get a lot of fax machines whose spirits would make alterations to the copies in order to deceive their owners.

Truefax was a company that used only spirits with the Lawful alignment type, so if the machines on both ends were made by Truefax, you could be sure that they were copied with no alterations. Their machines were a bit more expensive, but worth it in the long run.

There was one vending machine in the ATL economy parking lot that continued to sell Surge well after they discontinued it. I'm pretty sure that was where Coke was getting rid of the back inventory.

I definitely remember the drink, I had forgotten the commercials until just now. I'm pretty excited minus the price tag. For that much, it will remain a memory.

I must have been too busy drinking Zima to notice Surge.

The Q&A and product reviews for the link in the OP are now comedy gold.

Quote:
Q: Is this the SAME EXACT recipe?
A:Yes, the animal that Surge is derived from was thought to be extinct in 2001, but due to conservation efforts, their numbers are back to a healthy number, allowing Surge to be synthesized from harvesting their blood.

Quote:
My brother has been in a coma for 12 years. I whispered into his ear that they were bringing Surge back and he shot straight up, did a backflip out of bed and roundhouse kicked a nurse.
