Do something against the trollsFollow

Hi.

I worked on a thread that took me almost 5 hours to write. It was about PvP suggestions I wanted to share with other PvP fans in FFXI. But since 95% of the FFXI players are pro PvE instead of PvE they ruined the thread.

Do users have the right in this forum for free speech and to post their ideas even if 95% think different? If yes I stay in this forum and will post other threads in which I spend 5h of hard work. If not I leave.

Please reopen it and delete the silly pony pictures. It would also be good if you rename the thread title into "New PvP ideas" Or allow me to open a new thread and try again.

This is the thread:

Thanks.

Let's face it, that thread was going nowhere. PvP in FFXI is not only not its focus, it's not even a consideration. This game was designed, built and conceived as a PvE game. PvP, while an entertaining distraction, is simly not a major concern. There are some changes we'd all like to see to make Ballista/Brenner more within control of the player to start and run, but re-vamping it or making up some ridiculously complicated player run version isn't the answer.

You want PvP, go to another game.

As for us "trolling" your thread, no one was planning to discuss your idea because it's not that great of an idea. The only reason it's even still ON the front page is BECAUSE of our sillyness. Otherwise, it would have slid down the front page and into obscurity. So you should be happy that your idea is still there at all.

Back when i played FFXI No one really did it then either, I think I messed with the guild one like 3 times and it was more, lets see how much we can have fun. The game wasn't balanced for PVP so any topic on an archaic system tacked on for almost no one, of course is be derailed really quick.

This is mostly a user moderated forum and the users have spoken, The karma system works well dont like what they ae doing rate them down, but don't be offended when it happens to you in return. If they felt your post was useful it wouldn't have derailed so fast, I'm sorry you spent 5 hours on it and no one liked it but thats what happens. Sometimes the best laid plans fail.

Take this and learn from it. You can work really hard and put in your best effort and still fail miserably. The plain fact is the vast majority of people playing FFXI just don't give a damn about PvP. Deal with it.

The origional thread was derailed so badly, it is not worth the effort to unlock and clean it up at this point. You are welcome to post another thread and try again if you like, however it appears that several hundred people did not agree with your ideas to the point they rated you down, so you may wish to adjust the content accordingly, or not. The forum rules, and what is allowed and disallowed, are located here: https://everquest.allakhazam.com/wiki/Forum_Rules Please reference paragraph III in regards to pony picture posts. I did remove one of the pony pictures that had text which was borderline.

As far as that topic goes, no amount of change will change the population's feelings towards it.
