FFXIV Blue SkinFollow

It might just be my monitor or even my own eyes, but I have a hard time seeing links on the FFXIV blue skin. It's one thing if I know to look for one, but a lot of them just slip past me. Is there any way the default color could be changed?

Thanks for the heads up, Lubriderm. I'll have a look at it then check with the designers.

I tweaked it a bit to make it stand out better. You may need to refresh or hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) to see it update.

Absolutely, 100% better. Thank you very much.

OK, new issue. The color for clicked links and unclicked links appears to be the same.

I don't think we have alternate colors for visited links on any of our themes actually.

This is the first time I haven't seen a darkening of a visited link on zam. I've used ffxi, war, the other ffxiv's and eq2.

Edit:

On second thought, I guess not, I tested it a bit. Sometimes my browser doesn't actually load a skin, and when that happens, I will see the standard royal-unclicked navy-clicked. But I can't seem to repeat that when the skin loads.

Any chance that it could be added?

We can consider possibly doing it for forum links, though if so it wouldn't be implemented on short notice because we'd want it to be consistent across all sites rather than just adding it for one theme or site.

But I'm curious about your browser not always loading the site styling. That's an issue I haven't seen or seen reported. So you get the structure/layout of the site, but with black text/lines and standard blue link colors? Does this happen at particular times? (e.g. when first loading up the site, when reloading, or more frequently on some pages than others) Are you running any addons that modify how pages appear?

JD: I get that to some times, I usually mention it in chat, no one else has issues and usually clears up after a refresh or 5. I will pay more attention and take notes for you, just in case.

This happens from time to time on all websites for me. I think it's just an issue where a browser fails to recognize that it doesn't have a CSS file cached, so no styling gets applied.

I get a white site with black lines, no colors. When this happens, everything is where it should be, and I can't remember if avatars and sigpix load (I'll let you know when it happens again). What's interesting about it in general, that isn't the only type of timeout partial load that I get. Sometimes I get a site with the proper skin colors and everything, but it is all text and basically all the top menus are just a horizontal list. I'll take a screenie of both next time either happens, if you want.

Hm, I see what's happening, but I'm not sure why it's happening. What browser?

Firefox, whatever is current for 3. And it will do that for any skin, not just war. which what the pic is from.

Also, I haven't had whitezam since clearing my cache(not sure if that has anything to do with the price of tea in China), but the picture was post clearing.

The dropdowns get all wonky, too.

50 megs, should I up it or just clear more often?

I was expecting a much bigger number. That's not a likely cause, unless you have an ancient and/or slow computer.

I would increase it somewhat. Also defragment your hard drive if you haven't recently.

Will do, and I'm 0% fragmented.

It happens very rarely these days, btw, and it doesn't cause me any issues, I just wanted to give the devs as much info as possible in case there was something that they needed to know.
