If you really want to train for admin so badly, you'll do what I did, and buy a Shake-weight in the form of a ring.

Something that was brought to my attention here, but could the Job forums be added to the list of links in the breadcrumbs for the games that have specific job forums? Obviously not all the forums themselves, but the generic gateway like this?

All categories as well as subcategories (such as the Jobs, Servers, and Races subcategories) are listed under the second section of the path. (that is, the area which in this thread says "Cross Site") At some point that will likely be made more intuitive by putting subcategories in the next area over from their parent categories.

Alright, I'll throw it in here because it only started with the new layout.

A very strange glitch happens when I use the 'link' button in Google Chrome.

So I've decided to demonstrate in video.

Only tried in Chrome (I can't be assed to install whatever version Firefox is up to now, and IE is forever purged), but you can clearly see what happens when I use the 'link' button.

Short version is, when you use the 'Link' button, as soon as you enter a URL and click OK press Enter to finish Chrome will jump to the forum index. My posts are retained when I go back, it's just a very strange behavior.

Ah, looking back on the video and a little testing just now, it's not when you click 'Ok' but if you press enter to finish the URL entry.

With the breadcrumbs at the top and bottom, why is it that they're listed in a different order than they appear in the actual dropdown menu? It bothers me in an OCD sort of way.

Will the karma changes affect posts from before the changes? e.g. will the post that are currently default be changed to decent if they weren't rated down enough by the soon to be changes?

No. A posts rating is initially formed by your karma score at the time you made the post, and then changes as it is rated, changes to your karma score in the future, will no effect the rating for that post. The ratings you get on that post will affect you karma score, and thus your base rating for future posts.

This is correct. it will only affect posts going forwards.

I still hate the scholar/sage/guru colors as they don't appear much with the background from the FFXI, same for the little kinda bubbles for new threads and such. Maybe keep the color scheme but make them a few shades lighter? The blue and green are really hard to see easily.

Why do you spam click? It's not like it makes them go any faster, and moving the button maintains a better look for the window.

It's a habit from dial up/not-fios-dsl. Since it's not something that causes the page to actually load I don't know if it went through or not until anything actually happens. Therefore I'm going to click multiple times after a simple one click seemingly does nothing.

This was the source of some of my double, triple, and 26le posts back in ye olde days.

When I tried editing the title of a thread it told me something about detecting a duplicate post recently. Don't know if thats with the new format or not but I thought I would put it out there.

Edit: Update- After waiting a bit it let me edit the title finally. It also just took a bit for the edited title to show up.

I really like nearly everything about the new set-up. I do have a few minor gripes, and what I think is a HUGE complaint. Minor first:

*Posting location. Put it back.
*First unread post arrow on the forum screen. It was really nice to be able to jump right back into a thread without wading through the crap you already read.
*Put back the thread index link in some capacity. I realize you can click the forum in the bottom left hand corner, but that's just obnoxious.

Fix the mobile version. It now reads the exact same as if I visit the non-mobile version. I realize that changes like this take time blah blah blah, but if it isn't ready to implement, it shouldn't be implemented (including the mobile version). This is not a small gripe either. I use this site mostly only on the mobile version now and you completely broke it. This didn't have to happen immediately. This wasn't making or breaking the site. It has been a huge turnoff to use and I find myself using the site even less than before now due to the utter distaste I have for browsing forums on non-mobile style sites.

If it has already been announced in some way that these are being fixed, I'm sorry. I didn't read the entire thread.

Edit: Should really move "Recent Visitors" back to the top. It makes no sense at the bottom.

Paskil, there was an issue with the mobile skin where the sizing was broken. Jerek said they changed it to where it is now as a temporary workaround while they get the m.zam skin fixed properly. They are aware of the issues with it. I'm not sure how it is now since my Premium ran out, but that's where it stood the other day.

I keep seeing people say this, and I don't see the issue here at all. Having the thread index link was redundant. Is it really that hard to move your mouse halfway across the screen to click a different link instead?

I don't really understand where the idea came in that redundancy is bad. Hell, this is a site for MMO players. We supposedly thrive on it. Also, yeah I figured the mobile was being worked on. It's just annoying that at the moment, there is no difference with or without it.

Personally, I prefer a clean, semi-minimalist look free of redundancy, particularly when the alternative isn't all that stressful or difficult to access.

A Thread Index button next to the Reply to Thread and Quick Reply buttons would be nice, but whatever. It's not a big deal either way.

Or, an index link next to the ^ Page top on every post so I can be even more lazy!

Can you make it so that the "no pop up" option works to stop the stupid, useless pop up on the "breadcrumb trail"?

Hm, compared to what menu? Which site are you using?

This still exists in both the forum root (/forum.html) and forum view/thread list pages (/forum.html?cat=#).

What do you mean by this? How did it differ before that it does not now?

If we add an option to disable dropdowns from the paths/breadcrumbs it will be as it's own option.
