Feedback: WoW Skin, Guru vs AdminFollow

Anyone else finding it somewhat difficult to tell the difference between a Guru and an admin?

Before the new site overhaul, all names were written in bold font, and the difference was much easier to see.

Now, no more bold font, and I have to look *closely* to see the difference.

Perhaps we should either use a new color, or go back to bolding everyone's name?

Admins are orange, gurus are red. The difference is very clear to me. Either your monitor is a bit lacking in contrast or you have some eye issues, I'm not seeing a problem at all.

^ this. You may need to adjust you monitor.

When I first read this thread I agreed with Majivo and Sandinmygum, so I ignored it and went on. Then I pop'd over to the OoT and noticed an admin name right above a Guru name in the thread listing, and I did have to stop a second to see which was red and which was orange. There is a difference, but it is nowhere near as noticeable as it used to be.

Gonna mention it on every name related, but could you bold them on the main pages and such? They just look so awkward plain.

Or go back to Maroon for admins. It was a lot easier to tell the difference between bright red and maroon than it is with the orange.

One flaw to purple.

Purple is really hard to read (well for me -.-) using the FFXI skin.

Luckily the colors are different for every skin, so I don't know why you guys are complaining.

Because not every skin is visually pleasant.

That's good for them and still completely irrelevant to changing the admin color on the WoW skin.

What a ridiculous claim. If a change in admin color leads to it being difficult to discern admins from gurus, it is definitely a valid thing to point out in the feedback forum.

Are you seriously missing the point this hard? Sandinmygum and lolgaxe were saying that purple is hard to read on the FFXI skin. We're talking about changing the color to purple on the WoW skin. I don't know how to make this any more clear to you.

Are they? FFXI and FFXIV both carry the Wow colours on names now. Are they different on others, but just not FF and WoW?

I thought Admins were orange no matter what skin they were on.

They were purple on the newer WoW skin until this change. No clue about other forums.

Something just feels wrong about the colors on the ffxi skin. I can't quite put my finger on it though. It feels WoWish or something.. and kind of bland.

They're marginally different on every skin. It used to be much more pronounced, but if you go to, for example, the EQ skin, the colors are slightly different. The main point is that the colors are independent in the CSS, so complaining about how purple would look on the FFXI skin doesn't matter since we're talking about the WoW skin.

Have you looked at the colours recently? Because I've got 3 pages up with 3 different skins and your name colour doesn't change in the slightest.

I went and looked at them about an hour ago. Check out the EQ2 skin and how sub-scholars appear there. That one's the most pronounced difference; the rest tend to be slightly different shades of blue or green. It is proof that the CSS is set up separately, though, like it always used to be.

We're working on getting some sort of admin identification symbol thingy re-implemented.
