I don't know which game you are referring to as there are different ways to upload that info for different games. However, just to see, all you have to do is look the mob's loot table up and see if your item is on there or not. I guess that still won't tell you if it's new, but if it's in the database(s) yet or not.

Generally in this forum, you should specify which game you are referring to, since it covers all of zam.com and its games.

EDIT: I had a look at your recent posts and see they were in EQ section, so I'll assume that's where you are talking about. Lucy (at http://lucy.allakhazam.com/downloads.html ) is how EQ uploads new and updated items. It doesn't monitor the mobs names though, just the seen items. You still have to post or email in the items specific to a mob.

Many items are global though, like most of the cultural supplies and poison making supplies are dropped globally by level appropriate (and type on some cultural) mobs. Other items like gems are fairly global no matter the mob or level (althought finding a high value gem on a very low level mob is very unlikely, if not nearly impossible).

Hopefully this helps some,

Yther Ore.

Yes, I play Everquest. What I mean is that lets say I loot a hat from an Iksar Lookout but Zam doesn't have that hat listed in the Iksar Lookout's dropped items. I have the EQ Item Collector running. Will that hat be updated to show that the Iksar Lookout dropped the hat?

No, Lucy doesn't associate the mob with items like Magelo does. It would be nice if it did. What I use is ;tell Yther %t loot: link loot to get into the log file then search for Yther told you lines and either post it, or email it in. I usually don't do general, global items though, unless they're new. Like the cultural supplies when they first came out, to get good ideas of what level / type of mobs to hunt to start with. Now that it's pretty well established I don't worry about it unless it is a good or specifically sought after item.

That's just me though.

Also, I wished Lucy did do that and they'd get the profiles fixed too. I used to use them alot to keep track of inventory.
