Desiring to Renew My SubscriptionFollow

The last game adjustment was stated on:
and the last time my database for EQ Item Collector was updated:

  • File Path: C:\EverQuest\EQItem\

  • File Date: 2016-03-30 (Wed) 13:30:41 UTC
  • File Flags: Archive

As you can see, it's been awhile since EQIC was working. This is what is causing my conflict and frustration:

EQ Item Collector is NOT being reliably fixed when EverQuest is updated.

I can live with the fact that entering "EverQuest" in the Search bar on zam.com produces no results. I can also live with the fact that Allakhazam.com is the red-headed stepchild of zam.com that zam.com wants to drown in the bath tub.

But if the EQIC program can't be fixed in a timely manner, then why would I want to renew my subscription for one more year?

There is no incentive to do so if the databases and website are woefully out of date.

Wit's end.

Please get a hold of rale and have him contact me about working out payment plans for program work on EQIC, such as so much for fixing updated versions, another amount to implement/debug other parts like getting results again when looking at a merchant's/trader's list of items, etc.

Yes, I am serious.

I feel the same as Byren! Right now unsure if I will be renewing my subscription next month.

Trust me, the people that pay people to run this site do not care anymore. All their revenue comes from Ad views now.

I have access to the internet obviously, but don't think I can physically "internet".

Like Byren I want the Item Collector to be fixed and the site to have more support before I renew. **** not even all the progression stuff has info yet.

I was laughing at the idea of putting up with ads. That is silly. Adblock everyone. Whitelist only those you deem worthy.

I've managed to catch the ear of someone through the Zam chain of paid people (not me) that is "going to look into it and get back to me".

I specifically cited "some of our heaviest users are upset about the item collector being broken every patch"

Item collector issues really impact the volunteers trying to do the updates as well. I'm optimistic in the meantime --doesn't mean I'm not going to be disappointed.


As for the ad situation... premium or adblock seems to be the preferred options.

In respects to more support... I suppose that will be obvious if some more orange names start doing news/updates. Keep in mind user posts are far more important though.
