Also, thanks to Magaroja, Zarathustra, and Jerusha - it has been a blast getting through the other two Kazham keys and finishing off Warchief Vatgit with you guys, and I can't wait to finish off Rank 3 tonight!

Another thank you coming, but there's a story to go along with it. I was pretty embarassed about it, so I'm sure you'll all get a good kick out of it.

I'm shouting around in Jeuno, trying to find help for my Whine Cellar Key, to complete AF2 for Black Mage. My shouts go something like this:

{Black Mage} AF2 {Help me out!} {Artifact} {Key} {please} etc..

Eventually, I get a /tell from a 58 PLD named Phonx, saying "Hey, you going for the key?" Knowing nothing about Paladins, I say yeah! Join up, dude! Through the course of things, we got another 55 PLD, Spantz, and Vimien kindly decided to help out (even though he didn't shower, so we needed to deoderize him so the demons wouldn't catch his stench). We also got aid from a WHM named Raskolhikov and another PLD named Boopunn.

So, we make our way to Castle Zvahl, and after some trials and tribulations, manage to sneak/invis everyone to the pit. We fall, and Boopunn says to camp on the ledge here, to kill Blood Demons and their bretheren. Confused, because these things con IT++++++ and more to me, I ask if it'd be easier to fall all the way down and hunt the generals and commanders down there.

"They don't drop the keys," says Boopunn
"Dude, I guarantee they do, and they're much easier to fight," I say.

So after some convincing, we all drop down and begin the battle. With the higher level PLDs it proved to be no contest, and after 3 fights, a Whine Cellar Key drops.

"There's one!" I happily exclaim. "Lot, whoever needs it."
"Ummm... those are for Black Mage AF," says Phonx.
"Well... yeah... that's what we were after, right?" I ask.
"Umm... no dude, we need coffer keys for PLD AF," says Spantz.

.......D'OH!!

I knew nothing about paladins, and when they asked to join up for keys, I just assumed they meant Whine Cellar... boy did I feel stupid... So after many apologies, we escape out and head back to fight the PLD AF mobs. Being level 54, I couldn't even TOUCH them. I tried all the Black Mage tricks I knew, but their level was so high, I was useless.

.....D'OH!!

/sigh. I felt awful dragging them down there and then the miscommunication... but... well, at least I got my Whine cellar key, eh? *whistles*

Yesterday I tagged along and for the first time got to experiance a prime avatar fight. I wasn't much in the way of help but unknowingly I obtained Garuda and didn't even know I was going to be able to receive her as a prize (my n00b moment) I had mainly gone just for the experiance of doing something different. Needless to say I was shocked beyond words. My first Avatar fight ever. Sadly Anubis died but as soon as he was Raised he was dancing around in his {Incredibly Tough} {Subligar}

I want to take a minute to thank Denavee for escorting me through Ranguemont Pass yesterday to help a poor lil' Taru get her Carbuncle. I can't thank you enough. :)

Been playing for a while but it's the first time I noticed the Bismarck forum (duh...)
