It curdles my stomach at the thought of you lecherously crooning that to Skeeter in that whiskey voice of yours as he falls asleep in post-CJ bliss.

Sweet*One was a one-post sockpuppet (I'm assuming) engineered to ask me out on a date via a private message. I'm assuming that this was done to 'out' me as a lonely guy desperate for female companionship.

Here's the PM that was sent to me:

Bummer! So what better way to occupie my bordem then to read posts.. anywho... Look forwad to hearing from you.. if your interested in checking out my pic go to EQfaces.com FV server and name is Naveh, will chat with you sometime I hope.

Even their profile was filled out.

I suppose it's possible that Sweet*One's existence wasn't part of some elaborate conspiracy revolving around me. But statistically speaking, it's far more probable that someone wanted to make me look dumb than it is a female was so enamored by my prose that she chose to spontaneously invite me, a stranger and a potential psychopath, to see a movie.

So, who was it?

Everybody knows that you are only supposed to hit the "post" button once, right?

Not mine. I've occasionally used that gambit on some of the scammers and 0utwarz posters, but not on you. Mostly because I didn't think you would fall for it. (Although if I remember right you did try it on me once via e-mail right after the incident...) I used this one once or twice for that purpose:
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/ubbnew/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_profile;u=00000077

Edit: if it's a scam someone put more effort into it then they usually would bother with:
http://www.eqfaces.com/cgi/files/engine/profile.php?personalID=8193

Edit note the creation date of that eqfaces account.

Edit edit: Looks like the picture is from 1998

edit edit edit: Oddly enough, this seems to be a real person. That or a conspiracy with months of effort and background making.

I resemble that remark, dammit. Though I'm crazy enough to do my inviting on the board.

Of all the times on the board I have wished I had a shred of credibility, never before have I so desperately wished to be believed as I do now. I have no recollection of ever asking you out or sending you email. But that just goes to show you- a clear conscience is a sign of a poor memory.

Wow, I had just dismissed them as a fraud so quickly I hadn't done as much research into the matter as you. I guess I'm flattered, but really, I'm a little scared.

I don't have the message anymore, so no way to back this up, but right after the whole account thing, I recieved an e-mail from a hotmail account that I think was one of yours (If I recal right, it was one of the ones you used to register one of the puppets or something), was something like "Hi i'm a new person and need help with...". If it wasn't you, then oops...

They were fake, internet fraud boobies. Thundra is trying to convince people he is female. Anybody who is anybody knows he is male though. Go take that shower.

ROFLMAO!

Spence is at this very moment frantically scrubbing himself in scalding water, feverishly trying to recall images of Stephanie Seymour in a bikini, Jennifer Love Hewitt's boobs-- anything --in an attempt to convince himself he is not gay.

"I am not gay. I am not gay. I am not gay," he's muttering to himself as he rubs his skin almost raw from a washcloth as near boiling water from the shower head turns him a lovely shade of pink and bright red.

Heh, Spence, my man, we all call Thundra a woman because she's sexually confused and gets violent when confronted with her pathologically twisted nature. So to keep the peace we just all wink and placate her by saying he's a she. Sorry, but we all thought you knew...
