I turned to Flea and asked if the History Channel cameraman was allowed to toss them a sandwich and a book of matches or if this was like wildlife documentaries and had to just watch the truckers freeze/starve to death.
I remember about 6 months ago watching some show about "extreme" wilderness survival or somesuch thing while at a cousins house for some family thingie. The premise was that the main characters were like super explorers or something, willing and able to go into the harshest locations that no normal people could ever go. I just remember that at one point the characters were struggling to climb up some escarpment that was blocking their path (cause they weren't on a path, see, cause they're like super explorers or something!). And they're grunting and groaning and talking about how treacherous this terrain is and how difficult it is to cross. And the whole time I'm thinking "Ok. But the camera crew is handling it just fine
while shooting your stupid ***. Doesn't that kinda make you the least skilled person in the group just climbing along with your little backpack?".
