Unfortunately, I did it for myself.

If your children were playing in the street you get them out of the street and they cry about it and accuse you of not loving them. If they keep going into the street you have be more harsh for them to get the message. It is not from lack of Love; quite the contrary.

So now we know that people that like unorthodox sex = five year old children that don't know any better than to get out of the street.

To be fair, that's kind of what the flavor of Christianity he prefers knows to be the Truth tells him about people in general

What's also nice is that he just approved violent gender policing/***** bashing.

I mean, we didn't listen when they told us no. The obvious answer is to become more harsh, so we get the message.

******* idiot.

Well, I kind of assume that any five year olds having sex with anyone would be considered unorthodox.

Bijou you are VERY trying. Not a trying as Gbaji and compared to varus you are one of the saints on earth. As you age you may no longer be trying.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I'm not sure but that may make the Nazarene a switch.

Each Gospel was written at a different time period in the development of Christianity and had different audiences and social groups in mind. That is why one can find Jesus as a militant and a non violent teacher.

Wait, where is Jesus militant in the bible? Unless we are including the Apocrypha, I don't remember anything deserving the term.

No I was not confusing Kelvy and Bijou. I do quite well on my own meds thank you.

Matthew has a quote about selling clothes to buy swords. There is also his conversation with the Samaritan woman, that he has not come to her people. Yet a few verses later he changes his mind.

It's in Luke. Jesus tells his disciples that if they don't have a sword to sell their cloak and buy one. They say that they have two swords and Jesus says that's good enough.

Then, when the priests and soldiers arrest Jesus, one of the disciples attacks a guard and cuts his ear. Jesus heals the ear and rebukes his disciple (presumably for attacking first rather than just defending his life), telling him that those who live by the sword will die by the sword.

and (somehow fitting to you accusation) the swords in Luke were figurative
The disciples said, "See, Lord, here are two swords." "That is enough," he replied. 2 swords is enough? I'm sure he was arming people for violence with 2 swords..

Oh, silly Joph. They didn't really cut off his real ear, you goose. They chided him for inattention, that's all. What else could it possibly mean?!
