Are you getting coal or candy in your stocking this year? What's on your list? Do you know of anything you're definitely getting? How about giving? Did you score something awesome for someone?

While it wasnt on my list, I know Im getting a Kindle Fire. We bought the boys one for their Santa gift and found out too late it doesn't come with parental controls (not good when it's hooked up to Amazon and you can one click purchase items. Soren already purchased a $60 Star Wars book we had to quickly cancel on Sick's Ipad). We got them the Nook tablet instead and I was ready to return the Fire when the husband showed me all the cool stuff it can do. So now I'll get to read books and not have to fight the kids for a turn with the tv when I want to watch hulu.

My favorite thing though is what I got Sick. I'm like a freaking kid souped up on sugar, waiting to see his face. he is a huge game of Thrones addict, but we dont have cable so we had to find grainy, crappy vids of the series online when it came out. His biggest wish was DVDs of season 1. Sadly, they dont come out until March. But a friend of mine and her husband had them all recorded, and helped me burn them to DVDs. They even made these awesome DVD labels that look really good. come Christmas day I foresee us having a GoT marathon with a really happy husband.

I got my wife a diamond necklace that she's yet to find, since I pulled some strings and have it hidden in an armory. Which reminds me that I should probably get it out tomorrow.

I don't have a list, have no expectations, though Elne did say she obtained my present back in October. I believe it was a fairycon weekend.

I wouldn't mind a new pair of warm slippers, but will wait until the after holidays sales.

My big day will be the 28th when I take the grandkids to the B&O Railroad Museum.

A Justin Bieber album collection, and some tickets to her next concert?

I Smiley: loled.

No clue what I'm getting this year, but I hope no one goes overboard on me. The siblings and I forced my parents to agree to take it easy this year, though, and I'm hoping they stick to that. We're pretty much all broke, which means gifts are fairly limited across the board.

I'm pretty much emptying what's left of my bank account with January's rent check, so I had a pretty strict budget on gifts. But Etsy let me find some pretty cool presents cheaply--some prints and a vintage pendant. Was able to use an old Barnes and Noble gift card to expand my budget further.

Even if you don't I'd stick with what you got, doesn't sound all bad.

As for myself I've been promised my first decent computer in 8+ years. I'm positively giddy. Smiley: grin

Wife and I got our presents for ourselves last month. She wanted a Blu-Ray player, and I said that Blu-ray is useless on a standard TV, so I got an HD TV. Thom is getting a Leapfrog Leapster video game.

I'm actually getting a Kindle Fire as well. It's the present that I accidentally spoiled for myself the other day. I'm pretty excited for it though, as I've got 1.5 hours of commute by train that could really use filling. Also, the first thing I'm going to do with it is bypass the stupid "Amazon-curated apps only" bit. What a dumb notion.

I actually know most of the rest of my gifts too, since the fiance was way late on buying them, panicked, and just asked me to pick stuff out. Mostly clothes from Guess.

Supposedly there's one big surprise present, but she doesn't know if it's arriving in time. Hmm.

I got her some clothes, the 1st and 2nd sets of Rosetta Stone for German, and a Companion Cube plushie.

Wait wait wait. The Kindle Fire runs Hulu? For that alone, I'd bug Ray for that.

I know that Ray's gotten me some Hello Kitty stuff and clothing. He got his gift early in the form of the Collector's Edition of Skyrim, but he's getting a new keyboard for the PS3.

I already received both my presents, my wife and I are terrible at this sort of thing. I got a nice license plate holder for my car, Steelers of course and I also got a steelers beanie. My wife I gave her a brand new body pillow with some fancy case thing that's made of some soft fabric.

We're not much for gift giving by any means so we try to keep it relatively low cost. Besides, she got a Kindle for her birthday back in November.

My dad got my mom a pair of diamond earrings one year, and told her for weeks that she was getting coal. It was sort of true!

My husband whines about his crappy windshield wipers all the time. I think it's mostly a case of his eyes aging. Still, I bought him these Bosch and Lomb ICON Wipers. Storm Chasers use them. Smiley: grin

Got my husband one of the MP3 walkmans since I got one for myself a few months ago and he was jealous. Also got him a bookmark timer, so I can have my cooking egg timer back.

Maybe she objects to using the term "iPad" on religious grounds.

Is it wrong that my planned "big gift" for myself this year is one of those over-the-stove hood/microwaves? Got a semi-remodel of the kitchen done this summer (just cabinets and countertops), and realized that if I installed one of those puppies, I could actually create some extra counter space. Sadly, I'm actually excited about the idea. It's that or a tuner for my car. Hmmm.... Or maybe both?

What-ho, colonials.

The future-ex Mrs Nobby has a few bijou prezzies to open on Kwanzanukah morning, but surprises is surprises, right readers?

Early prezzie to myself is the pug-ugly Honda 500 twin I've wanted since before Moses' balls dropped.

Anywho. Golf Foxtrot Yankee, peace out and all that.

Huggles.

I vote the microwave. Counterspace is one of those things where you can make do when it's limited, but don't understand how you ever lived with less once you have more.
